No freaking way that much gas could even fit in there given what was left, or the known capacity of the tank. But, never pursued it...just added those stations to the list of them that I'll never visit again. I see our state inspection stickers and it's a sign that the pump was possibly accurate at the point and time when the sticker was affixed to the outside of the pump. And that's about all it could mean! The shifty smart ones skim very little so its difficult to know by watching. If its that noticeable you probably pumped water! LOL

One thing that we knew about with other fuel dispensing locations, primarily small operations with only a few locations. They would get a contract with a name brand fuel so they could use their branded credit card and avoid the service charge other cards charged. What would often happen is the contract only required them to purchase X amount of gallons of the branded fuel each month. Once they reached that threshold or knew that they would, they began purchasing fuel elsewhere. Often whatever was left sitting around or partial loads of who knows what. Interesting stuff. 1
diyer2 Posted September 7, 2025 Posted September 7, 2025 One of my most hated sayings, "It's only money." If that was so why so much greed and the struggle to obtain it? The reason for many crimes, so It's not just money. 1
customboss Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 (edited) I can’t easily get top tier or always afford it where we live in remote Southern Colorado. I use both of these and my cars run well. Use less oil if any and they achieve great MPG. It even works great in carbureted old timer cars and trucks. I get my Amsoil products at discount with free shipping to our home from a LIFETIME site supporter @Black02Silverado Nick - syntheticadvantage https://blog.amsoil.com/the-one-two-punch-amsoil-p-i-and-upper-cylinder-lubricant/?utm_source=sfmc&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=112025-free-ucl-pc-us-1&subid=3ce1104f-e388-ec11-9187-8a54c7a6bc0b Edited November 6, 2025 by customboss 1
Atlas Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 Jalopnik IMO has the nutritional value of popcorn for the mind, but I thought this was humorous. Based on a study done with ONE vehicle, by AAA (yes, that organization), Top Tier is "likely" worth it. https://www.jalopnik.com/2005572/does-top-tier-fuel-clean-your-engine/ 1
