It's been around for a while. It suddenly has taken off virally on facebook. Enough people have finally posted a bunch of links like these and it's slowing down Like the guy I referenced that I wanted to immolate, he was screaming at the attendant that they were ripping everyone off. He was calling the cops and everything. Cops said they weren't coming out for what he described, but they would come out and trespass him if he didn't calm down

Gas dispenser give out recipes? Wonder if they've got one for chocolate pie.

I owned and operated a full service station in the 80's to early 90's, so yes I understand that. We started out with the mechanical counter dispensers that we had to show the price of fuel at 50% and put signs up saying you were going to owe double the shown pump price. Thos mechanical ones wouldn't allow for some of the high prices we experienced. Eventually upgraded to 1st generation of electronic dispensers. Which were still primitive compared to today

I remember the old slide recipe with carbon paper. My first job after getting my license was pumping gas at a Getty Service Station in NJ. I worked there for about 4 months before my father hired me to be a fueler and greaser at his company. He would never take us to work. I had no idea the size of his company. Only because he didn’t want us to be exposed to the language. I was shocked at how my uncle’s and father spoke on the job.

Seems like half the stations everywhere don't print out receipts anymore, either broken, out of paper, and they want you to come inside. NOPE. I just wait for the "Thank you / Come Again" screen on the terminal.

Yeah, they are too lazy to keep em going. Plus it is an expense. I generally stay away from locations that historically have busted equipment. I kinda like my receipts. I wouldn't want recipes from most fueling stations.

I use Kroger’s the most. Their office is right at the pump. It’s rare the receipt doesn’t work at the pump. But there’s always the thank you at the end.

150,000,000 (updated figure spouted a day later) / 2,200,000 (Volume of a Super Tanker) = over 68 of those of the largest class moved and reloaded over a weekend. There are on average only 70 of those 2.2 million barrel ships in the Persian Gulf. So...he's saying he moved them ALL! :crackup:

Does that pass the sniff test I think not.

Welcome back! No, it definitely doesn't pass the sniff test. Even "ceasefire" needs an alternative definition these days.

Propane $3.99 a gallon.

Do you have access to BP fuels? Some stations have Silver 91 E-0 priced the same as their 93 E-10.

There is a local Marathon with 90 alky free for $6 a gallon but I go down the road to BP for $5-ish. They also have a 100 E-0 but that stuff is $10 a pop.

I have 2 choices.
