Good morning. We’ve almost finished purchasing a 2022 2500hd WT CCSB as my wife’s new work truck. Currently just waiting for the paperwork to be overnighted from Michigan to Kentucky and going to get it next week.

Anyway, due to truck prices and the current inventory shortage we opted for the WT which doesn’t have a power seat. This was also the only truck I could find within 200 miles and that they were selling at MSRP. My wife being 5’2” and had trouble seeing the front of the hood on the test drive but is going to make due. I would like to in the future look at swapping in a power seat. Anybody done this yet?

I imagine it shouldn’t be that hard but with everything being ran through the BCM these days I wasn’t sure.

In the mean time I have seen the seat risers from Ohio diesel that we will probably employ to get her by, especially when she starts towing.

Don’t you get the same adjustments power or not? I admit it’s been awhile since I’ve had manual seats they seemed fine for adjusting. Especially since it’s one and done. Not bashing just curious.

No there’s no seat up and down, at least that I could find. It was only 4 way, slide forward and back and tilt seat forward and back.

Ok, the last manual seat I had came with a crank to raise the seat. Mazda 3 I believe. My wife sits on a cushion that’s about 3 inches thick. The unexpected plus her leather seat still looks new after 11 years. Cushions could be the answer.

I am d=facing the same issue. Has anyone done the power seat swap or looked into it?

My understanding is there "may/can be" a bunch of wiring to be added if the truck was not ordered with the power options (This is what I've picked upon in other forums and discussions in swapping '22 GM Tahoe powered seats into my OBS '97 Tahoe).   My suggestion is to chat w/both OEM Seats (OEM Auto & Truck Seats)/Keith at (321) 324-4450 (located (321) 324-4450) www.oemcarandtruckseats.com and Dan at OBS Outpost (407) 284-7466 (also in Fl)   www.OBSOutpost.com.

Both are great guys and have deep knowledge with seat swaps/upgrade/etc.   Good Luck!

I can confirm WT has no height increase via pump or any other ratchet system. My wife is also short and has a 4.7” cushion we found on Amazon. She rarely drives the truck anyway.

I believe there is a thread in the 1500 forum on safely adding spacers to raise the average height of the from seats. If anybody is interested. I was referring to it because I plan to make some steel brackets for underseat storage. Not to lift the seat per SE, but just to use the seat mounts for anchor points for a secure storage box.
