I opened a case with GM at 9 miles on the odometer, the day it was delivered to me, so they are abreast of the situation. But, like you said, the dealer asking me to drive 500 miles is weird, but I did it anyway because I didn't want to be "that guy". But, now it looks like I'm going to have to be.

Regarding the 22s, I really didn't want them, but they came with the package. I orignally wanted the 20" for the reason you stated, but in the end I figured GM wouldn't put anything on the truck that would compromise the claim of being able to tow 8900 lbs., but now I know better, $70K+ later. If the vehicle struggles to tow a 20' bass boat, it likely can't tow much.

The saving grace here is that a couple of people with the same vehicle I have seem to have no problem, even when towing, so I'm praying GM will do the right thing here, no matter what the case may be. I also don't remember the vehicles I test drove having shaking or vibration issues, because I wouldn't have bought one, if I had. I drove several Denalis and a Trail Boss, and none of them shook or vibrated. I did not get a chance to tow with one, though.

Michelin defenders...problem solved. I have had the same issue on three trucks. Michelin. On the Yukon XL they changed out 9 tires and roadforce balanced each time. After I went nuts on the last visit, the manager said Michelin fixes this issue every time but warranty wont let us change brands.....they paid half I paid half, truck was perfect, Michelin Defenders.

Driving home tonight, 13 miles, I noticed the shaking on the asphalt freeway between 60 and 75mph, when this morning I felt it as low as 53mph. Got off the freeway, drove 5 miles down a freshly paved asphalt road at 43mph, and it shook. Turned into my typical northern California bedroom community suburb with smooth asphalt and it vibrated the entire mile to my driveway at between 15 and 20mph. Almost like it got worse on the ride to the point where it was real bad even when going slow. I think it might be something else. I'm reaching here, but is it possible the suspension software programming logic is messed up such that it compensates for the vibration on the freeway, and mistakenly "remembers" and applies that algorithm, or whatever, at the wrong time? I mean, they advertise that the shocks adjust every 2 milliseconds, so what if it's constantly adjusting by mistake hence it feel like vibration. Or, am I giving GM too much credit, and the system is really not that sophisticated?

Alternatively, is it possible it's the brakes pulsating, but the steering wheel doesn't shake side to side like you would normally expect because it's electronic, or maybe it's the rear brakes pulsating?

Is it possible that I am imagining it getting worse and that it's become more noticeable to me on different surfaces, and I've become more sensitive to it because I've been living with it for so long? Yes.

What year Yukon, what brand and model tires, and what size wheels? What about your 2021 Sierra Denali? No issues?

Although lemon laws vary widely by state, the advice to reach out to one is solid. You have already gone way beyond what is reasonable. I think youre to the point where you need to press them with a "last chance" notice in writing.

Document, document, document everything no matter how trivial, every phone call, e-mail, names, positions and etc. You need to get them to escalate your case, Once they see youre building a case it may bring a little more urgency to them getting it fixed.

2015 Yukon XL, 2017 Yukon XL, and the 2021 Sierra Denali CC. The 2017 came with 20" but swapped to 22" and Michelin. This problem has been prevalent since the 2014 new body style. Had same issues with 3 pick ups 2014-2016. Thats where I learned from dealer tech 97% of the vibrations are bad tires. GM warranty will not switch brands. The use low grade crap Bridgestones. Many trips to the dealer, alot learned, I dont even bother going back today. I just sell my brand new rims and tires on craigslest and buy new rims and Michelins. IMG_8589.thumb.JPG.85b8ef0f7385658292bc78e978ed8de6.JPGIMG_7983.thumb.JPG.bda95e1cb43f14b7c859ce3d2744b799.JPG

Great in the rain, quiet, long tread life. I feel like a Michelin salesman!! LOL I had alot of frustration with dealers over the years and its was crap tires each time. At forst my attitude was its a brand new expensive truck!! Screw them, let vthem make it right! Then I realized this became a job and a fight, and I didnt want it anymore. It was worth the 1000 bucks and controling it myself. Good luck

Thanks so much for the details. I had the same initial thought you had. I've already spent way too much time on this. I dont want to spend the time to fight. I just want the issue to go away. Have you towed anything with your truck and the Michelins? And, are those 20's or 22's on your truck?

No problem, I know exactly where your at. How you handle it is up to you. I fought it out on several trucks. Each time I'm worried about dents and dings at the dealer, then all the lies, then "oh it this tire not that tire" roadforce balance! new tire! here try it, let us know??!! It became a job. I was shocked it was every truck since 2014 that I bought!!! The accountants at GM are getting a bargain on these crap tires. Not this truck. As soon as I got home, I put it on the lift, posted my tires and rims on craigslist, and Facebook, and ordered new rims,TPMS, and tires....DONE! I got 2K for brand new takeoffs and it cost me 2400 for the new stuff and no aggrevation. My truck has 22" rims. Rides beautiful because Michelin Defenders have a softer sidewall. I run 36 PSI. I do tow a bit and I pump the rears up to 42PSI just for towing. That is more stable and stiffer for towing. I did not initially like how it towed (swayed a little) at 36 psi and mentioned it to a tire guy, and said I needed to pump up to max psi which is 44 psi. Tows like a dream at 42-44.  Best of luckIMG_6976.thumb.jpeg.43afea0adf22a10be6fd1b7847be3d54.jpeg

I have owned many trucks over many years, had every generation. These new trucks are great....but they are alot tighter. They are also alot quieter, and insulated. The rear is not loaded. I find them to be very tire sensitive. Where you may not notice it as much on an older model, you will notice it in this nice quiet cabin with a tight suspension. I literally made such a stink years ago on the 2015 Yukon they did hub run outs with a dial indicator, rotor run outs, drive shaft run out, put a picometer in the truck, and that truck had 9 different tires on it with roadforce balancing!!!!! It was a nightmare . Till the tech whispered in my ear and said --- they will keep changing tires till I am blue in the face...the tires are crap, this happens all the time till the customer gives up. Just put Michelins on. At that point, I really did think the truck was crap......it was the tires. Hard lesson learned. Those were Bridgestones also, and I had the same problem on the Sierra with Goodyears. I never thought you could have such problems with brand new tires?? He said go ask any tire guy what he puts on his car........

You might have missed it, but are your wheels 22" or 20" on the truck?
