Hey there. I have a 2024 Silverado 3500 Lt on order. The dealer recommended adding the upfitter switches later as the more items added to a build the longer it would take. On the configuration tool it looks like the upfitter switches go on the center kick plate under the infotainment system. Does anyone know the part number for the upfitter switch kit (9L7) which would include the kickplate? I cant find anything online. (I know its early and the truck/parts are still really new.) Also wondering if anyone knew were to find the cab/clearance light (U01) kits as being in California I can not get them from the factory. Thanks for all the help.

Probably too early to get part numbers for the panel and switch. Short of someone in the business coming up with the upfitter switch/panel information, your dealer's parts department is likely the best source right now. Clearance lights..I've yet to see a '24, but guessing since it's the same cab, the same lights as pre-refresh are used? LIGHT SET on ebay; just need the square punch.

Not sure I buy the theory of de-optioning a truck in order to get it built sooner. Unless a specific item is on constraint and noted on your order no one at the factory cares. Personally I think they want the trucks heavily optioned due to the increased profits.

There are still some build short scenarios happening but they are small and quickly remedied.

You may want to hold off on the lights until you get the truck. Its my understanding that they are the same since the sheetmetal is unchanged on the 24's but I know for a fact that the electrical architecture was changed in support of all the new content standard and optional.

Just my opinion and worth exactly what you paid for it.

64BAwagon - Thanks for all the info. My understanding and from what the dealer showed me on the order form was a lot of the LPO or dealer installed items are on constraint and the factory is trying to not build short or ship an build until its completed. I know I will be waiting a while as my order has the Z71 Sport Package which is on constraint at the moment. I was just doing research and seeing if I could get a head of the game and have the parts either ordered or here when the truck got here. I think the truck needs the cab lights just my opinion but you make a good point with the wiring. I appreciate the response and opinions.

Core-Lokt - Thanks I was looking at ebay and found the square punch kit and the lights. I believe you are correct with the trucks using the same lights as the 20-23 model. I will reach out to the parts department and see if they have the part number for the switch and panel. Thanks for the link and reply.

Does anybody know if on the 2022 upfitter switches can you make them a momentary switch or are they permanently latched?

Great info folks. Upfitter fit kit listed GM # 84942074, will NOT fit the Re-Fresh GMC 2024 HD dash.

I ordered one of these from my dealer,  awaiting delivery of my '24 2500 HD Denali Ultimate / Duramax.

Up-fitter kit Arrived in two days.

Dealer just got in a '24 HD Denali, (not mine), and I took this kit from parts dept. out to it to compare fitment.

The Kit # 84942074 switches are on the upper left knee kick for a pre-'24.  On the '24, the 4x4 and std. light controls are in this location now.

Correct kit # still un-known for a '24. If available, it would have to reside to the right of the steering column. Knee kick panel there is narrow on the '24. The 5 switch cluster might not fit, so perhaps under infotainment in center console area ?

Question on Delivery from Flint......I have my window sticker, was built on May 25th., Dealer's site says In Transit.

Dealer said another Built in April, says still "in transit" to Ct.  Any experiences / comments ??

Also FYI;  The Max Trailering Pkg. Code #NHT,  Upgraded my 2500HD to a 3500HD Frame, Rear Leafs and 12" Axel !!

Originally Just thought it it was the 5th wheel frame plate prep. and 7 way connector.

Window sticker attached.  $$ Ouch.  Going to Rust-Proof Cab & Box with WoolWax, then latter the frame 12mo. or so,  after the poor GM coating peels off as usual.

After restoring / upgrading a 26 ft. '73 GMC Motorhome, This new GMC purchase is the finale.

Mike ,  I have not tried these switches yet.  Do they have a positive "Click" when pushed in for "On", then Click again pushed for "Off" ?   If so, the latching could be In the switch and not an external relay in the kit.  That said, see if there is a Mfg. and p/n on the switch. That switch could also be mfg'd. in a momentary version as well.

Go to gmupfitter.com and find UI Bulletin # 153e. It is a installation of Upfitter Switches and it has part numbers. My 2024 came with the switches installed but the two harness are not I have to have them installed.

Scott01....Where are your '24 Upfitter switches located ?  Sounds like the two harnesses were in boxes in the cab ??

Please let us know if these do actually fit. The part numbers on these would also be of help to all of us.

As I posted before, I ordered the kit listed in the UI Bulletin #153e, Revised June '23, and the knee bolster is incorrect to fit the re-fresh dash.

Someone also posted the dash wire harnesses are different for the re-fresh HD as well, so  wire harnesses and fuse / relay block in that kit  will most likely not fit the '24 either.

We can compare the two wire harness part numbers you have , to those listed in the #153e Bulletin, to have some answers.

GM Upfitter bulletin 153.  The kits #s that are there fit 2020-2023 with keyed ignition (84942071 black interior and 84942072 dark atmosphere interior) and then 2020-2023 and 2024 with the OLD DASH and push button start so WT and Custom (84942073 black interior and 84942074 dark atmosphere interior).

The other 2024 kits are not in the bulletin.  85603231 is the kit for GMC AT4, AT4X, Denali and Denali Ultimate.  That is the only 2024 kit they have published anywhere at the moment.  The other trims don't have a kit listed yet.

THANKS  !!    Just called my dealer's parts mgr. The # 85603231 does show up as a new released part $96, NOT yet available to order, but at that price it must ONLY be the 5 switch Pod, and not include the fuse / relay block, wire harnesses, etc.

At least we are getting closer to answers.

I posted a reply I got from GM yesterday, from the Eng. who is writing up the new '23+ UI #193 bulletin for the 9L7. See if I can attach it here as well.

Thanks for posting this.

I’m posting to subscribe to this thread as I will be installing these in my 2024 GMC AT4 3500.

When I had my 2020 I ordered the parts and installed the upfitter switches.  With the upfitter guide and pictures / descriptions on this forum it was a relatively painless process.  I’m hoping it’s the same with the 2024.

My switches are under the a/c controls. Yes harness was shipped loose. I haven't had the time to try to see if they are going to fit yet. I can't even see were they come out the firewall. Pictures of the harness I have that was shipped with the truck. They didn't give me the Fuse Kit so I am going back to the dealer and have a talk to them about it.  harness1.thumb.jpg.eab60aea96129da401887714b3a9c4a0.jpgharness2.thumb.jpg.f0d19ae08a26da2a83bf97b6b9986477.jpg

Scott;  Thanks so much for these pix.  Please post a pic of your 9L7 dash switches.  In the center console, under the A/C controls, was my first guess of a good location.

Seeing these part numbers on your harnesses, and the p/n my dealer came up with (85603231 for $96) making more sense. The 85603231 is listed as a new part "not yet available to order" by a dealer.  This must be just the 5 switch dash pod assy.

The #84810191 listed in GMPartsdirect.com is $36.26, as  Battery Cable. Pic showing the Alum. Heat Wrap, that portion is along the eng. bay firewall.

GM's Mr. Casper, who is Authoring the Up-fitter new 9L7  '23+ document #193, said the passenger front wheel well, will need to be removed for the install of this kit.

The #86812139 listed is $102.33 as a F-Harness. Drawing still not available of this part on the site.

The #85603231 I got from my dealer, was not found on the GM-PartsDirect.com site this am.

Correction on my prev. post....The p/n 85603231, I saw from another member's post, and jotted it down. This is not found on the

GM Parts Direct Site. My dealer came up with # 84942071, comes up as a "Switch Pkg." not yet available.

I was able to download the '24 HD electrical manual.  1798 pages worth, 29mb.  Here are the three PDF Schematic pages applicable to the 9L7 Up-Fitter Switch Kit.
