I've had Bose systems in two Miatas and they're both anemic. On one I always drove it with an amp and MP3 player combo plugged into the Aux jack. Sounded better then because it wasn't the speakers that were the primary issue, it was the Bose amp.

Thanks for taking the time to do this. I've added all the parts to a cart on Crutchfield, and the front harness to another cart, and printed them off. After the first of the year I'll order them and enjoy better sound. First speakers I ever bought for a car were Jensen's back in the 70's. They were the goto speaker for that type of thing then. I paid $59 for them then, and here we are now about 50 years later and I'm paying about the same. China does make some crap on their own, but with a solid company spec'ing out the material and construction they can also produce some quality goods. I just wish more companies would bring the manufacturing back here, and cut out the middle man.

For sure! Same boat, I haven't added speakers to anything since highschool in the late 90's. Figured i'd be into this way more than what i spent.

Youngster!  😊

Back in high school (graduated in 1980) we used to strap an AM 9v transistor radio on the dash.....  🫣

I had an AM radio from Radio Shack that bolted to the handlebars of my Stingray in the '60's. Listened to many games with the likes of Sandy Koufax, Willie Mays, Carl Yastrzemski, Don Drysdale, and even Billy Martin. Did I mention, I'm old?

so...even with the non-premium sounds in this truck, it sounds very good compared to any of my vehicles before the 2010's.

I miss my Schwinn Cotton Picker, springer front end and a 5 speed stick shifter. I guess I am old too.

You guys are youngsters.  Back when I was in high school dinosaurs still roamed the earth.  Our only source of music was rock n'roll.  If we wanted to amplify the sound we'd do it in front of a shallow cave.  The Rolling Stones were big back then.  And, the music was always live.

My very first record player only played 45s. You could stack 10 if I remember. RCA victrola I think it was. My first car stereo was a 8 track. I got the 4 speakers from RadioShack. I put two under the front seat. Two on the back deck. The 8 track was mounted under the dash. My first couple of cars only had AM radio and one speaker. .

First music I ever bought was a 45. The Beatles: Side A was Come Together, Side B was Get Back, if memory serves.

I'm not going to age myself, but I recall thinking I was a big cheese when I mounted a 8 track player in my Z28.

Now I wish I could have a Z28.  Scratch that.  I want a ZL1.  I have too many kids, so that a big negative ghost rider.

Also I don’t know if I mentioned it here, but it’s in other forums here. I didn’t used the online bypass or crossover that came with the speakers for the from dash Conner speakers because you lose sound with your blinker and other auto able  noise from other systems in your truck.

I found out the hard way.  I had to take the dash piece off again, cut the crossover out and reconnect everything.  Works perfect now.

My truck is a 2023 Silverado RST with Bose 7 speaker! It sound like it was underwater, not sounds great. I hope this help someone!

Yes my '24 HD Denali Ult. with Bose 12 speakers, sound like I have lots of Wax in my ears.  Even with Treble at 100%, is poor brightness and stereo separation.
