So you're still going to control the minimum trans temps for winter?

Yeah, the thermostat opens at 140.  Instead of running through my radiator and the condenser, it will just run through its own cooler anytime the temp hits 140.

They went unregulated for decades. Pepper has the 70 C TBV but it is never open in the winter. Still it runs a bit warmer then as fluid isn't circulating the radiator. But just a little warmer. Not enough to ever open the stat.

I have the later version of this where it bypasses the radiator and only goes to the AC Condenser.  I also have Speed Engineering true dual exhaust with their long tube headers.  My trans got to 220 today as the 3" crossover pipe that runs directly under the trans pan is about 1mm away from it.  I also have the Sure cool mod done.

Had anyone installed a tru-cool 40k or mishimoto trans cooler?  IF so, did you bypass the factory cooler or just run it inline after the factory cooler?   I need to get these temps under control.
