Hello,

I recently purchased a used 2020 GMC Sierra SLT 6.2L Crew Cab. I was looking to upgrade the wheels and tires. I spend a fair amount of time driving in the national forest roads in Colorado. I was hoping to get some recommendations for a decently priced wheel and tire combo that can handle rough terrain but won't be terrible for highway driving. I intend to lift the truck about 2-3 inches and upgrade the suspension at a slightly later point in time. If anyone would like to give me some advice or recommendations it would be appreciated. Thank you.

I've run the stock 18s with Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs from California to Florida.  They're not perfect, but they get the job done.  After I leveled my truck 2"/1" I upgraded the size to 285/75r18 and I'm very happy with it.

I just installed the new Nitto Terra Grappler G3s.  I love them.  Very smooth. Very quiet.  And just aggressive enough looking.  They come in larger sizes in p ratings too.  I installed 34s (p275/65r20) and didnt really take a hit in MPG since they only 47lbs compared to my old 33" BFGs that were 56 lbs.

i would get the toyo before the duratrax

Different strokes for different folks.  I enjoy the stiffer sidewall of the tire.  Also the lightest tire in its size per the data I looked at on tirerack.com.  What I run isn't going to be for everybody.  I just thought I'd share my opinion.  You're more than welcome to take my truck for a spin.  I'm literally right down the road from some offroading.
