Recently, my transmission started slipping so I decided to rebuild it and upgrade my circle D torque converter to a 2600–2800 and add a shift kit. I’m taking it to the shop next week. Will I need to tune my transmission or can I just drive off with it?

thank you in advance

With the 6L80 trans all you need is a tune to set up your desired shifting points, the HPTuner can set all that up without changing any hardware.

For sure needs a tune. The torque converter will want different settings for the lock up too, you will want to zero the TCC slip and adjust the lock up speeds and what gears it can lock up in. Only lock it in 5th and 6th gear in my opinion and push the MPH speeds out higher.
