I bet you freaked out over last year's performance.

I don’t freak out. My Grandaughter was digging it. I asked if she heard of this guy. No was the answer. It’s easy to satisfy the masses. That doesn’t seem to be the goal.

What's the goal, oh neutral one? Before you declare he's unpopular--just because you haven't heard of him--he's one of the most streamed artists globally and has high album sales. Bad Bunny also doesn't sing about politics or throw transphobic public tantrums.

Funny I was getting ready to write that I didn’t know who is in charge of the entertainment until recently. It explains a lot. Honestly I like all kinds of music with the exception of opera. I appreciate talent. I may like him. I remember way back when I first heard of ABBA. Very talented and popular. Even though English wasn’t their native language they sang in English here. I would think if you want to appeal to the masses at the Super Bowl. English might be a good idea. Maybe that will happen. It’s seems that’s the respectful way to do it. Many very talented and successful performers did it that way. Our football is uniquely American. I believe it’s respectful to do it American. Maybe the person responsible for talent is making a statement for himself with a stick in the eye. So instead of making a great American tradition uniquely American. Let’s just make the conversation decisive. I think that’s the purpose. I hope I enjoy it in English. I’m an old school. I like tradition.

It's not a slight against tradition, and tradition is a past which may not reflect the present anyway. More than 50% of NFL players are black, so to have an entertainment director that works with Jay-Z and his company really isn't that far fetched. They're all American...

Follow the money. One of the fastest growing NFL viewer demographics are Hispanic Americans and they are more likely to attend games. So, more catering to American tastes...

Bad Bunny is American. He's from Puerto Rico, which many people are recently surprised to hear is, actually, part of the US. Puerto Rico has strong Spanish heritage (400 years of Spanish rule) and many of its residents also speak Spanish in addition to English as an official language.

So what if he sings something in Spanish? It's just a language, it's not taking away your national identity...

A few years ago NASCAR a very popular American sport tried the same outside the box experiment. They even tried using cartoon characters. Guess who was in charge of the music. They also started something called the chase. They lost a lot of traditional fans. The sport isn’t as big. I’m still a fan. I’m still a fan of the Super Bowl. I like to be entertained. I’ll have several generations at my house come Super Bowl. I can’t wait to see if this flys. They keep me abreast of the new and exciting to different generations.

NASCAR lol. I'm glad some people like it. It's car racing, after all. NASCAR did ban the confederate flag, and they lost a bunch of their fanbase when they did that. Nascar is about winning, not losing, so it only makes sense.

The same fanbase got mad last year when Kendrick Lamar sang in English and had a Red/White/Blue theme and Samuel L Jackson dressed as Uncle Sam.

The same fanbase got mad when Beyonce did a country music halftime show.

Y'all want people who look like you, act like you, believe like you, singing the same old songs, do that at church. The superbowl is about ALL Americans so it can be different every year. THAT is entertaining.

We’ll see how it’s received. Last time I checked English was the official language. My family is mixed. Some from the south of the border. We all speak English. My church has a very diverse congregation even a recent immigrant from Cuba. My wife got him a translator earpiece. Shortly he’s going to have a Spanish service every Sunday. He’s a minister. We’re very welcoming. He’s excited to learn English.

What Beyonce did wasn't country music. 🤣

Maybe the Superbowl should have Zach Bryan perform. 👍

I could care a less who performs at the superbowl as we don't watch any of it, nothing but a bunch of  extremely overpaid sports player's also baseball player's.

Don't know who that is, but as I mentioned, Superbowl halftime lost my viewership many years ago. Barely even watch NFL as it is

I’m hearing the possibility of an alternative halftime show. I’ll record, interesting. I remember when my wife got me a TiVo for Christmas many years ago. The next Superbowl had Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake. We were watching the halftime show and it was, hey what was that? Just about the same time the room said rewind. I said kids hide your eyes! YIKES!

Imagine creating a segregated Super Bowl Halftime Show because you’re so triggered by a multi-lingual man performing that you have to invent your own show full of people who don't look like him, just to cope.

Wow.

I'll watch it later just for the horror.

Besides, who cares if you see a boob or something at halftime. You'd think it would be a welcome diversion after watching two quarters of sweaty men in gear slapping each other's asses.
