I just changed my plugs after 70K on my '01 Sierra, 4.8. Using the AC Iridium and gapped them at .60 like the truck says under the hood. Replaced the NGKs that the truck came with. Seems to be running real good and smooth. Did I F up gapping at the recommended .60? I just stumbled upon this thread and read a few pages back Platinum .60 and Iridium .40.

When I worked on my airplanes, I always use the Champion anti-seize for sparkplugs. It drys to a non-greasy coating. I'd recommend using it or a similar anti-seize for all sparkplug installations.

I only use ac delco in gm. I learned that along time ago with a 70 chevelle using champions ,it did not run good with them.
