I got mine in June 2008, Silverado nbs 2007 4x4 1500 LTZ with the 6,0L, every options excepted gps/dvd, with 8,000 miles 29000$ for the dealer.<br />Arrived in France , approved for French roads (many test and some adaptations !) = 35000 euros = 44,000 $ (today with a strong $, when I bought the $ was at 1,57 for 1 €)

What kind of tests and adaptions did they have to do for French roads?

All brakes tested and engine noises (in Db) when run and when stopped , electromagnetic pollution, CO2 and other, safety belts etc...

Adaption : turns signals (rear and front) amber, separation of rear stops and turns signal , add a red fog rear light, change tires which they must be rated E (for Europe) and not "DOT", speedometer rated in km and not in miles. Windows rated "E" and not "dot" , for the windows it is necessary to ask a dispensation to the transport minister, also for all locks, fixation of seats, rear-view mirrors and tank !!!

The lease payment for my my 2007 Sierra Extended Cab (z71, 5.3, 3.73 gear, Wheel Controls for Stereo, Dual Zone Climate Ctrls) was based off a $26,500 OTD cost with my GMS Discount...... (Stickered just shy of $35,000)

I drove it for 18 months (16,000 miles) and was able to turn it in 5 months early to buy my 2008 GMC Sierra Crew Cab z71. The purchase price for my 2008 was $24,200 OTD. I would have been just under $24,000 if I did not have to come up with some $$$ to cover the 5th month on the lease.

My 2008 Crew Cab SLE stickered just under $36,000 with a 5.3, the z71 package with 3.73, Stabilitrac, Power Brake Pedal, Backup Sensors and locking tailgate.

I have owned a 1991 Silverado, 1994 Sierra Ext Cab z71, 1998 3500 Silverado Crew Cab, the 2007 Sierra Ext Cab and now this 2008 Sierra Crew Cab. The 2007 and 2008 are by far the best trucks to date....

Picked mine up at the end of Aug. '08

'08 CC Z71 SLE1 Sierra - Tow package, polished wheels, dual climate, lint trap...

Out the door it was less than my similarly equipped '98 Ext. Cab Sierra stickered for. You really can't asked for much more than that.

2007 Silverado Classic RCSB W/T 4x4, A/C and cruise only options, 4.3 and NV3500. $15k OTD.

Love the rubber floormats. Only 1 problem with the truck - couldn't find one with vinyl seats so I would up with cloth, which means I can't just rinse out the interior of my truck when I get back from the woods.

Glad to see someone else appreciates the vinyl carpet and vinyl seats. So easy to keep clean.

There is a whole generation out there that has never/rarely seen vinyl seats.

Everyone thinks I have leather seats.

Heck yeah. Especially in a truck - getting dirty is what they are for.
