Line_x Vs. Xtra....

In the next few weeks I'd like to get a spray in liner for the truck. A couple shops want to charge upwards of $175-@250"]$175-$250 extra for the Xtra option on top of the $450-$500 price of the Line-X. Is this treatment really worth it or what ? One of the shops told me it was an absolute waste and just get the regular Line-X treatment. I want some opinions from you guys! Whatcha think ?

Are you going to have a tonneau cover or topper on it? If so, don't waste your money, the std Line-X will be fine. It still looks like brand new in my old 2000 GMC after 8-1/2 years. It has a tonneau cover though (my brother now owns it).

Actually, I do plan on having some sort of cover on in the near future. Hmmmm?

What is this Xtra you are talking of? I just had my Line-X done at the dealer before I picked it up. I use my bed quite a bit so I dont have or want a tonneau cover. Fill me in please!!

Don't waste your money.......Spray ins suck !
Absolutely false statement. Get the regular line-x, and forget this x-tra stuff. I just had a line-x done 1 month ago, and they did not offer me any additional service like that, but I would have refused anyway. It looks to me as just another way to pad the bill. But I could care less what the bed looks like, you're supposed to use the bed, right?

HAHA, your joking right?

has to be joking. I've hauled loads of wood, & rocks with my spray in rhino liner & not even a scratch. You can never beat a spray in liner. That Xtra thing I think is getting it color matched to the rest of truck & going over rails, doesn't seem worth it to me though, I wouldn't mind the over rails though.

I have the LineX over rail with the Kevlar - Suppose to keep shine and not fade - and be stonger - IDK I just liked it better so I got it and for almost the same price as a regular one so no worries.

the linex with kevlar (xtra) and color match is about 1000 over the rails. crazy! but yeah i heard line xtra keeps it from fading and more rugged.

if ur gonna use ur bed a lot and keep the truck a long time i say go with with linx xtra. if not normal application im sure will be good enuff!

I got the Xtra on mine b/c it makes the liner go from low maint. (protectant 4 times/year) to ZERO maint. to keep it looking good. To me that was worth the "Xtra" $150. If you are on a tight budget or don't plan to keep the truck for more then a couple of years then it's probably not worth it.

You also get the option to choose more or less texture with the Xtra which didn't matter to me since I wanted the normal Line-X amount of texture. I do believe the Xtra is worth the money if you are doing a color besides black since it's alot more shiny (like the paint on the truck) then the standard Line-x (I have black).
