My wife was at the dealer today for a new windshield for her 10 day old 19 Denali XL. The sneaky bastards sent her home with this as a loaner. I think we’re keeping it [emoji1750][emoji3603] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro4 points

The ugly antenna GM puts on these trucks is a good foot higher than the truck. Take it off, leave it in the cab, then hold it out the window as you approach the garage... ?2 points

Can't lose the antenna. That's how you know if you'll fit. I don't fit in any parking garages in Orlando Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk2 points

Truck looks awesome bro...nicely done. Way better looking truck than a Raptor.... Just my honest opinion..2 points

Its Leitner Designs Active Cargo System... a bit spendy, I struggled with having something to mount the tent lower, like a 1/2 height rack, but ultimately need the annex. Now I need to save up for the pods for the rack for storage.2 points

A couple of weeks ago I saw an ad or post from Battle Born Off-Road about a behind the grill light bar for the 2019 Silverado. I was quite interested because I have read about problems putting a light bar behind the grill on these new models because of the active shutters in front of the radiator on these trucks. I had a behind the grill light bar on my 2016 Sierra and the extra light really helps on some of the dark areas I roam... I was quite disappointed to find that I may not be able to have the same thing on my 2019 Silverado RST. So Battle Born Off-Road posted an add for a set-up made by Baja Designs. It incorporated their S8 20 inch light bar, a wiring harness and mounting brackets. I inquired about the kit and if it would actually work. These guys called the manufacturer and confirmed it, so I pulled the trigger. The S8 light bar is awesome and it has a pretty slick amber accent light built in. This 20 inch bar really pumps out the light and has focused lenses on the bar. Installation was quite easy and after I got the grill off it took about an hour. The only week part of the kit is the directions in terms of removing the grill on the Silverado... If you are looking for a behind the grill light bar for the Silverado, this kit should top your list. sorry for the picture quality, but it's all I have at the moment.1 point

Sorry I have the Airraid MIT system. It keeps the stock air box and replaces the tube between the air box and throttle body. I have had cone filters before and they just get dirty quick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I am a little confused. SO I believe I have the DL3 mirrors (power, no heat, manual fold) on my 2015 Silverado 1500. I want to upgrade to some tow mirrors. Now I dont need all the bells and whistles, but it would be nice to have (power, heat, and maybe the turn signals) How would I go about this? Do I have to buy a set of mirrors that only offer those options? I was thinking of going with either one of these options from 1aauto https://www.1aauto.com/mirror-pair-trail-ridge-tr00079/i/1amrp01771?f=1092563&y=2015 https://www.1aauto.com/mirror-pair-trail-ridge-tr00045/i/trmrp00045?f=1111772&y=20151 point

Quite honestly, I don't pay attention to MPG, I have a full size truck, I don't expect it to be great lol. Maybe? I don't notice it when its on the truck. I have these for the trailer that helps immensely: https://www.campingworld.com/universal-rv-stabilizer-34337.html but the truck doesnt move as much as the trailer when you are trying to shimmy down to use the bathroom =)1 point
-
Yes right now I'm going back and forth and see pro's con's to both. I like being able to drive w/o packing up, but hate trailers. RTT on the truck is more stable. I've been toying with replacing my current RTT to a clamshell, so its quicker to close up.1 point

They do make everything sound better. There has been tests that show slight increases. Don’t get an oiled one. Use the factory filter or an oilers one. Oh did I mention I like the throatier sound mine gave the truck. I think the biggest gain will be seen with an exhaust. They factory ones are much better now than the ones in the past. You could always just get the tube that replaces the factory one and it frees up space makes the engine compartment look better, oh and sounds better. I think I covered the topic. Mine is a coolant MIT Kit with the non oiled drop in filter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Many with the KO2's report a firmer harsher ride. Especially with the E load ranges.1 point

Any added spacers or just the max 5100 groove? 40 is way too much air. Better MPGS yes, but ride.... No.1 point
-
I'm not suggesting it should ride like butter, I'm only saying that it isn't the preload. Full coilovers will have similar effects I suspect, but the springs and shocks on those are so much better that you'll more than make up the difference from it.1 point

Mine are doing the same exact thing but not that bad. Mine are on my 2016 rally 2 edition with 30k on it. Thinking of going with 285 55 22 nitto (g2 or ridge grappler). I have a 2.25 level. I am only hesitant because I have 2 sets of nitto terra grapplers "g1" tires that are about 7 yrs old and the cracking on them is NUTS. Nice tires but wow.. Wondering if chemicals in tire shine have anything to do with it. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk1 point

A spring by nature becomes harder to compress the more you compress it because of the potential energy that is being built up. Therefore if it starts out in a more compressed state, it's reaction force is greater and compressing it further also becomes more difficult. The spring is more compressed because the bottom perch moves higher up the shock body, but the top mount does not change. Therefore the spring is compressed which contributes to the lifting of the truck by pushing down on the shock body. The higher you raise the lower perch, the more energy the spring has. In addition to lifting the truck, it will make the ride a little stiffer. But Bilstien accounts for this somewhat in how they valve the shocks for each make/model truck.1 point

You can see the a/c duct for the charger in this video1 point

Well there you go. I figured it was bc of the heating factor when charging. Most charging pads have a fan or cooler built in Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk1 point

So the dealer called me today and advised they are going to go ahead and just replace the back window instead of trying to reseal it a second time. I guess I was convincing enough on the phone to get them to do that instead of resealing it. Said it will probably take a week or so to get the window.1 point

I had this same noise. I tied off my flapper valve and that made no difference. I put my truck up on a rack and was looking for anything that could be causing this noise. It sounded like it was coming from just left of center of the dash from the inside. I found that the drivers side of the engine the ignition coil cover was off and was down and wedged between the steering shaft and the engine. And it is not like it could just fall off. It has a crankcase vent line that goes through it when it is installed in its correct place. So it had to have been there from the factory. Maybe they tried to install it without pulling the vent line out and that caused it to come off over time. I put it back where it belonged and the noise went away.1 point

So the only way to keep this system active is to buy OEM pads with the sensor? Might be a nice feature to some but the metal wear tab was simple and worked.1 point

Hi, truck is running fine. Had a different engine noise on a cold start one morning when it was below zero other then that it’s been doing fine. Still going to do an oil analysis. Going to drop some oil out personally and then take it to dealer to see what they say when they do there on the next oil change. I don’t trust them.1 point

I put the gm intake kit and reflashed the ecm on my 6.2 today. Definetely a noticable power increase. The funny thing is the shipping label on the box said it shipped from k&n industries lol. And the tune is just for mass airflow recalibration so the transmission doesn't end up with shifting issues because the tcm uses the maf sensor as a major input for shift timing etc..1 point

I had this same kit. I took the strut spacer out and put the 5100’s at max height with the 1/2” spacer under the shock. My shop told me the angles were way better this way than before with the strut spacer and stock shocks. I also have a 2” block in rear. This gives me a little bit of rake for pulling trailers and not ass end sagging. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point
