Great dad moment. I had my son, 8, help me flush the power steering fluid. He said he loved it and wants to help next time I work on the truck.2 points

I know the K2 guys have one of these threads so I figured we should too. Think it’d be useful for others. Post pics of your setup! Make sure to add specs of the wheels/tires, spacers, suspension, rubbing/trimming... I’ll get it started.. Fuel sledge 20x10 -19 (no spacers!) As some of you know we make adapter harness to upgrade head lights and tail lights, 60 days ago we got a new 2019 Trail Boss Custom in RED i liked the look a lot, but the headlight are real old looking, so we had to do some thing about it, last week we did, we replaced the the head lights with new GM LED that come in higher trim models, and they make this truck complete, nice color light output, and it fills the road with light, some things to know GM said you have to pull the bumper off to do the install that is not what we did to remove the headlight and install the new ones, we reused the stock Grill with 2 mods to make it fit, we are working to make i filler for the 2 as i call them Vees >Chevrolet< to go on the lights. More info soon on the Parts, what do you all think, and by the way we add lights that come on at night that show off the Chevrolet in the grill.1 point

Double cabs are fine in the back for little kids. But even 10 year olds were uncomfortable in mine, and forget adults on a long trip. I had to go crew cab and I’ll never go back.1 point

At the suggestion of you guys, I installed LED reverse light bulbs today. I bought these LASFIT 921 bulbs from amazon for just under $15: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B081YL2Q2W I thought about buying the more expensive ones but since I read here that there was no CANBUS problems with these in our trucks, I just went with the cheaper ones. It was a pretty simple job, with two T15 screws per side. About a total of ten minutes for the whole job. The hardest part of the job was getting the thicker LED bulbs into the sockets. Here is the T15 driver and the LEDs that I bought: Here is the passenger's side bulb installed with the light housing pulled out: The LEDs were longer than the stock bulbs, but there was plenty of room in the housing, so no problem there. I tested them using the Trailer Light test function from the main screen, since I couldn't put it into reverse and leave it there by myself. They seem to be much brighter than the stock bulbs, which I'm sure I will be able to tell when I try them at night.1 point

Once I'm moving I'm good for the day sans doing something silly. It's convincing the back it's okay that's a chore.1 point

My physical activities not working at home are pretty much the same. The difference is I have to spread it out all week. Instead of doing it in one day pre retirement. I laugh when I read do 10,000 steps a day. I do 4-7K max. Otherwise knees, back, hips speak out. I’m a firm believer every one is an island. You have to tailor to yourself. Using a pole trimmer or chainsaw requires my back brace. Otherwise weeks to recover. I see people running I want to stop them. They’d be better off walking, briskly. They’re knees and hips will speak to them later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I get it. I was in better shape at 65 than 55. Covid19 changed routines for most of us and weight gain was a popular result. This past year was a change similar to the first year of retirement It takes a lot of activity to replace a typical 8 hour work day! My post employment routines were pretty entrenched before Covid hit but I was very surprised by how much additional time the closures and restrictions required me to fill! My exercise plan is simply shying away from the sedentary projects (like sorting boxes of old photos) and look for activities that involve moving around. For some of us, something as simple as getting down on to the floor to play with the dog can be physically demanding. It is harder for some to burn fat than others. I look fine and can walk miles but struggle to get into a standing position. Who knew? The most effective option for me is managing my intake which all credit in this regard goes to Mrs. Donstar!1 point

Happy to report that my 21 denali factory rear window did not leak while driving in rain that was a combination of wiper delay and wipers at high speed that wasn't fast enough for 8 hours driving thru TN, VA and IL yesterday at interstate speeds. Fingers crossed or waiting for the time bomb. Time will tell.1 point

Don't know if it's better, but the Chevy is fancier than the GMC. It wears a bowtie everywhere it goes. LOL1 point

DFM/AFM tend to fight the convert lockup tables in this range under light loads at these speeds. The DFM can have any number of cylinders 'working' and in some of those modes it's like a lawnmower motor pushing a 6K pound truck. It struggles with having enough power in that mode to provide that load. So it switches modes. If it does that as the converter locks or unlocks....burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr1 point

Don't feel bad, it rains as soon as you wash any color car or truck. lol. Story of my life, but in Florida I have learned to live with it. The important thing is that it got washed, and rain is typically cleaner than the water people wash their cars with (no mineral deposits)1 point

First off, truck looks fantastic, bravo very clean yet OEM+ look. When you mentioned mud flap kit, did you purchase a separate kit to replace where the oem flap is? If so can you link that for me?1 point

I understand that petroleum has a lot to do with tire production but almost $100 a tire increase? Why hasn't Big O raised theirs then? As I said before, Discount Tire can F.O. Also I wouldnt blame just biden, I'm blaming the democrats as a whole. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk1 point

I think I would go with the 3500, you can always haul lighter, but you can’t haul heavier. As soon as you start looking at trailers......1 point

I'm sorry if this has been answered, I attempted to search a couple of times however it didn't yield the results I was looking for. If there is a thread already, please feel free to link it or Mods can remove this. I have a 2020 Trail Boss and I'm looking for a list of what exterior lights are not already LED. Bonus, if someone has done a full conversion already, what LEDs did you order and why? Thank you everyone in advance!1 point

I have a 2020 Custom TB and am doing a headlamp conversion as well. I've received my harness from Gen5DIY and should receive HC headlamps, TB grille before end of Dec. I was in communication with Gen5DIY for over a month or so and they answered all of my questions helping me to find what will work for me. Will be adding pictures soon and let you all know how that process goes and any feedback I may have.1 point

That's definitely the whole headlight. You do need the harness as well though which you can get from gen5DIY1 point

If you have no issues with the coils now, don't change them. I believe there are ignition dwell settings that are going to be different between the two types of coil packs.1 point

That is amazing. one of my biggest pet peeves about my custom as well. Looks great... there's definitely a market for this dependent on price, and fit/finish. I'd be interested do you have any more pics, specifically of the fitment in an around the lights1 point
