Saw My Old Truck At Home Depot Today (pic)

Sold it in 2006 with 136,000 miles....has 200,000 miles on it with the same transmission. Looks identical to when I had it. Talked to the kid...couple yrs younger than me....I sat it in and got a little teary eyed.

 

 

 

Hard to believe my new one has 170,000 less miles on it. Still love my 2000 silverado 1500 with a body lift and 285s. Too bad it was a stripped work truck with a 4.8 liter. Gonna take a few years to get attached to my new one.

Now I really think I gotta do another 3" body and 285s (or whatever the 17 inch rim equivalent is) D@mn gas prices damn them to H*ll. Reason why I got rid of my first one anyway. Now I got a car too so maybe a little worse mpgs wont be horrible.

cool, I see mine at work usually on Fridays when I go out to lunch. The guy I sold it to talks to me occasionally and really likes it.

I've seen my old one only once since it was sold and it was def bittersweet. Alot of memories in my first truck. But I sure do love my new one!

I think I'd cry if I saw my old truck cause I know it's not being cared for as good as I did. Its been spotted by friend before though.

The last time I saw my old truck (05 silevrado ecsb) an old lady was driving it and smoking in it . I always kept it as clean as possible.

i got depressed when i got rid of my old truck... biggest mistake ever.. i should have just fixed it... my girlfriend kept asking why the **** are you so sad about a old truck... it was my first vehicle ever and had awesome memories in it

Sounds like a buddy of mine. He's got a rusty old 2-door K5 Blazer that he refuses to get rid of. Says all of his kids were born as a result of things that happened in it

Doesn't it suck seeing the old rides? I saw mine old truck at a Lowes a few weeks ago, couldn't help taking a walk around it to see how the new owner treats it.

I sold my car back in September to a highschool kid from a town 50 miles away just days before picking up my new truck. As glad as I was that i was able to sell my car quickly before buying my truck, I wish it would have sold to someone that lived alot further away. Every time i'm in that town, I'm worried that I will see it again and see it in poor shape. I took great care of that car, and from the looks of the highschool kid's previous car, I don't think my car will ever be the same . LOVE MY NEW TRUCK THO!
