New Project - Wagon Restoration

Well this is my old wagon from the early 80's. My parents saved it and I am going to restore it this spring for our little one. Photos as I go will follow

 

Going to try and add some bigger tires :dunno:

Yes, except I dont need any parts other than the nuts and bolts and new tires and I will probably get a new handle since mine is bent (wish it was longer). I want to go with pneumatic so its easier to use on grass. The current hard tires are a pain to pull over grass. I will also need a decal.

LOL...chromed out with big mudders. :dunno::uhoh::sigh::fume:

I would like to see you spray it candy apple red, with Pinstriped and airbrushed logo. LOL...If you were near me I could get my buddy to spin you off a set of wheels at work on the lathe and toss some designs on them with the milling machine....That would be cool.

I enjoyed seeing that old school metal(I think/hope) Tonka dump in the background. We used to have the metal ones back in the day and would ride them(apparently when we were pretty darn small still) down the neighbor's sloped concrete driveway.

Yep those were in my parents shed also. I played many hours with them and they held up well. Not made like they used to be. They also need some sanding and paint.

well a lift kit is still in need um oh yeah you need the dual exhaust yet and big tires and you should be all good. haha. I never had any of those when i was little, just tonkas. Good times with those

Man,I remember playing with those back in the late '70s/early '80s....They sure don't mak'em like that anymore,They're mostly all plastic today :cool:

I also had quite a few ERTL and Buddy L trucks back in the day! And Hot Wheels...man oh man did I have the Hot Wheels,I actually still have all my Hot Wheels from the '70/'80s.

I was all of 6 months old Xmas 84! But I remember playing with the metal tonka trucks, I must have got in just before they went to plasitc.
