New Silverado

Hi All,

Fairly new here. The GM Techs have helped me with my 2001 Silverado several times. First post here to say I just bought a Sheer Silver 2010 LTZ Crew Cab RWD. Very pleasant experience with Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine Texas. This is the #1 volume dealer in the U.S. for the last 4 years and are well in front this year. I found there is a reason for them being #1. The best deal I could find by far. How about $6750 off of Supplier Pricing!! This equals $9052 below MSRP. If anyone has found better pricing please let me know. They have about 2000 vehicles on the lot with over 200 trucks to choose from. I know this sounds like a commercial but they caught me off guard as I was ready to haggle, walk out, hold my breath, you know the drill. None of that was necessary. This deal was presented to me as soon as I found the truck I wanted. They showed me the BARS document which had the vehicle MSRP, Invoice, Supplier and Preferred pricing. He picked the lowest of these and then took off the $5000 Rebate. He found a $750 rebate from USAA (?) also. In order to get a $1000 GMAC rebate, you have to finance with them, so I did. 6.9% for 3 years and I can pay it off after 90 days which will save almost all the finance charges. I had a trade in that 2 other dealers offered me $23K and $23.5K for. Classic gave me $26K. I also got a 6 year (3 years added on to the factory 3 years) GMPP waranty for $700, which, according to my sources, is $5 over their cost. I worked with the Internet sales group.

Enough about that. I love my new truck! It has the Brake Controller, Convenience Pkg, LTZ Plus Pkg and Rear Vision Camera. I will probably put on some 20" wheels/tires, intake, exhaust and tune in the near future. Where is the best place to shop for accessories?

Thanks to all who contribute to this site. What a great resource! :)

Sheer Silver? That is an awful color  j/k (thats what I have) nice choice

What accessories are you looking for? I bought many of mine (bug deflector, floor mats, vent visors) from Cabelas.

Hey Ryan I was looking for a rubber bed mat and the bug deflector. Maybe other stuff once I know what's available. Do you mean Cabela's the hunting/fishing place? Do you have a link?

Thanks,

Nick

Welcome and nice truck!

That dealer sounds pretty cool, I made a note of there name in case I start wishing again in the next few years

I did the same thing, just in case I get the hankering for a newer truck in the next few years. Sounds like a pretty good dealer to deal with.
