where the heck is my truck seems to be stuck some where in the shipping process. or parked somewhere. order # PMVF53 /ny

 

 

Sorry my browser was still loading up the last page for some reason and I did not see this post.

 

Well better late than never I suppose and you probably already figured it out since you got another update.

 

the 4300 /4200 was it being transfered to the railyard via truck.

the 4b00 was it being parked and bayed waiting for loading on a railcar

and yesterday you got another 4200 showing it was shipped from the railyard. Its on its way home finally.

Hey Walt,

 

Yepper it shipped and its here, Bam overnight delivery LOL

long story ,longer. Went to the dealer on the 6th at 3pm and sales manager called dealer office @ gm , truck still in fort wayne yard they put it on a red flag status at that time. thur morning 7th I see it was updated to shipped so I figure another few days to a week, thur the 7th at 4:30 pm phone call from sales manager at dealer , if u want pictures of your vehicle on the truck get your butt down here. WOW the was fast, from expidite to here overnight.

Talked to the driver who is ex allied working for jack cooper now. He has and is still working out of the fort Wayne plant yard says the place is swamped with vehicles huge backlog but they are making a pretty good head way. He was saying most loads on the avalibility board are shipping west right now out of fort wayne but he saw these few vehicles going east and that he would rather haul east, lower NY and PA. Anyway ,good timing on that call I guess. It is here, I'm real Happy, Now all I have to do is get the cats and the dog sold to pay for it.

My status has been updated with a planned production date of the week of April 25th. Should put it here right near my birthday. Perfect. :)

Mike, I'm still waiting. Because it's a GMC I can't get anymore updates from Larry. I don't want to bother the dealer. I'm taking delievery in North Dakota and I'm still in California until tomorrow. Tomorrow we start out for a 4 day drive to ND. After we get to ND I'll start bugging the dealer unless it's there by the time we get settled on the farm.

I'v been on top of that mountain many time and I know they don't have internet up there, thats y u cant get answers. LOL just kidding. I used to deliver to diners and rest. up there in the late 80's with a tractor trailer that was real fun in the winter.

have u talked to your dealer ? bug the heck out of um ,your paying them.

My truck just hit 3800 today! Hopefully arriving at my dealer soon, im only 138 miles away. thanks Chevrolet Connects for a great way to keep up on m truck order. the TWP was set for the 18th so I was very suprised to see 3800 so soon, love the e-mail updates.

Congrats! When did you order?

 

I read on the chevroletconnects tracking site that there is a problem with building the HD trucks due to the metallic paint shortage from the Japan natural disaters. I am trying to get more information on the shortage and if it will or has affected my order. I ordered on 3/30/2011, PPHT6P. My last update was last Thursday and I was at 3300 then. If anyone can shine some more light on this situation, I would be much abliged. Thanks!!

From Eric yesterday:

1. I had to call the dealer business center yesterday to check on one of my Camaro's that has been sitting in Oshawa since the 2nd and was told that there is a NATION WIDE SHORTAGE of railcars... she couldnt tell me why there is a shortage, but I would imagine it has to do w/ getting caught up from the trucking transport deboggle... Just an FYI that it may take a little longer to get your vehicles...

 

2. Metallic paint is going to be very hard to come by!!!! We currently can NOT order metallic paint on the Silverado Heavy Duty trucks and this constraint may be extended to additional lines if the suppliers in Japan can not get us product (this is a industry wide problem not just GM)

 

Just to clarify. Metallic paint shortage should not affect Trucks in production already..only a constraint on new orders being submitted.
