Im going to be buying a bed liner for my 2010 1500 Silverado Crew Cab, and I would like to know if there is a big difference between roll on and spray on? I got a quote for spray on LineX and it was going to cost $600. I don't mind spending that if its worth it.

Welcome

The Easiest thing to do is search http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?...hlite=bed+liner

There is plenty to read here, most will tell you Line-X or Rhino

Mine came with truck from dealer. Its been over a year and 15k miles And had a lot in back still there. Its a little sun faded but not garage or car port. Getting bed cover soon.

I've had Line-X in about 5 trucks now and loved it. My dealer talked me into getting Rhino in this truck, it is now 5 months old and so sunfaded it looks grey. JMO, but I will NOT purchase another Rhino Liner. My Line-X'ed trucks looked better than this after 3-4 yrs of abuse.

everything will suffer from UV fade, even the UV protected plastic and spray in. That being said, the majority of folks tend to go with LINE-X because of the price and quality. I've used LINE-X on 2 of my trucks and will be getting it done on my current truck when funds permit. I'd not pay $600 though, that's just too much. The average is $400-450 for over the rail. At least if you don't have the LONG bed like I do, unfortunately  So if you have an Extended cab or crew cab 1500 you won't have the LONG bed

I just talked to a few people around my area and they also said the same thing. So now I just have to do some shopping for the best price and quality of work. Thank you guys.

Spray in! I got TurboLiner on my 2011, was part of the truck deal ($350) and the truck dealer is the liner dealer.

I have heard that the LineX inventor might have started a new company and its even better (sorry I don't recall name)..

I had Rhinoliner on a 99 silverado for 4 years, Line-X on a 04 for 5 years and now Rhinoliner on my 09 for a little over 2 years and can honestly say they both work great. I have had a Access cover on every one of them so sun fade hasn't been a issue. The only difference I noticed is the Rhinoliner has a more rubbery finish and things don't slide around on it as much so thats why I went with Rhinoliner this time. I'd say go with the cheaper one as you won't go wrong with either chioice.

This is my first truck, but have had friends with trucks (main reason I never bought one before, never had to). None of them use Line-x, they all had drop in liners. Every one of them curl up if not screwed in. Every one of them scuffed the paint up under the liner, and a couple had the bed start to rust from the paint being scuffed off from the liner moving. They could have screwed them in place, but, they did not want to put screws though the body.

I put the Line-x on mine. About a month after getting it installed, I had to move a large server rack. My friend that helpped me move it, gouged the spray on liner almost down to the metal. He said to me that that was why he would never get a spray on liner. I took him with me to Line-x when I went to get it fixed. Line-x took the truck in, then brought it out about 20 minutes later. You could not even see where the gouge was. And best of all, it was free. My buddy has since then booked his truck in and had the drop in liner replaced with Line-x.

Rino Liner. Love It. get the GM bed mat and nothing will slide around either. I literally throw 4 3"x2"x1" diamond pattern concrete patio slabs in there for the winter weight (400lbs) and the floor still looks as good as new. Throw the bed mat over the slabs and all I lose is 1". (hockey bag keep rolling in and out no problem.

I have Line-X in this truck and had it in my 03. Wouldn't own a truck (within reason- ie beaters aside) without Line-X.
