it will be 2 years in November, and was retooled in 2007 for the Travesty to the tune of $750 MILLION, they built Travesties for a year, and then Gave the Travesty to those MICHIGAN JOB THEIVES!

Oh christ, Michigan Job thieves, please tell me that you're not even close to serious, right?

normally I like Michigan (Got Family in the Kalamazoo area, and my Plymouth was built in Sterling Heights), but here lately, EVERY SINGLE GM Production job has gone to either Lansing Township, Orion Township, or Hamtramck! Maury County and the City of Spring Hill has been REALLY Hurting the Past 2 years because the State of Michigan Practically has GM in their Back Pocket! BUT, my comment was out of line. but now since New Product for Spring Hill is a stipulation for the New labor contract, I'm a LOT Happier, because a LOT of good people can get back to work, put food on the table, keep a roof over their heads, and put a decent car or Truck in the Driveway!

So you WERE serious, is what you're saying. Trust me dude, I'd be willing to bet that the State of Michigan and its residents have seen a much larger decrease in population and way of life than Tennessee has. I'll leave it at that.

don't forget about rock county wisconsin...one of thee highest unemployment rates in the country because of the GM plant closing and its connecting factorys...finding a job you can live on here is like trying to win the lottery, let alone its a double edged sword...layed off workers get free school, thus soaking up the decent jobs because they are shotgunned through college leaving my generation boned..i also agree with chevytech, tennessee is a wasteland outside of the military personel down there..been there, seen it...everybody spends their last dollars on the lottery hoping for a win

Good to hear that it will be bringing back some jobs in the area.

It isn't GM but VW has a plant in Tn don't they?

wow seriously guys.. people get to go back to work, doesn't matter where, what matters is that good folk are getting the chance to get back to work..

things are tough all over, have a little respect and maybe wish some good luck to those fortunate enough to have a plant re-open..

Rebuilding the economy and GM is going to take baby steps, this is a baby step, as the economy gets better, more plants will open, more opportunity in more areas will present themselves..

If you want to hate on someone, Hate on GM, Chrysler, Ford, for putting themselves into a situation that caused the massive lay offs and plant closures in the first place (not like this is the first time either), don't hate on the state or the folks that are being given the chance to get back to work.

Agreed!! I Did not read what was posted but our local paper says jobs will return to the US from Mexico.

That away boys turn on each other....if you need a job so bad and your area is dying on the vine maybe it's time to relocate.....I had too. Was it fun no, did I blame the state that took my job...hell no!! I went there and got it back.

What are they going to assemble there?
