Lifted or Leveled Hybrid?

Has anyone out there leveled or mildly lifted a hybrid two mode full size gm? or put on slightly larger tires? I know I know that goes against the whole premise of trying to eeek out every drop of mileage, but after 3 years of having a nbs suspension setup, I'm itching to toughen it up just a little.

 

I was thinking at a minimum of adding a mild leveling kit to the struts (2" - 2.25") or worst case a 3" lift/level and putting new tires on the stock rims will take the overall tire diameter from 31.5" to 32.6 or 33.2. I don't think it would decimate the mileage (maybe 3-4mpg?).

 

I realize it would mess up the speedo and the fuel management, but im not sure to what extent. The Hybrid also has the CVT tranny with planetary gears, which I don't see being overly taxed by this mild change. I know Id need an alignment and headlight adj, those dont scare me as much as the electronics.

 

Theres so little info out here on the hybrids unless Im missing it.
