got this 2011 demo last week. Had 6000 miles on it, leather, dual air, 6.2, 4x4, and trailer package - couldn't ask for anything else. Boat weighs about 5500 when fully lake ready. This out pulls my previous 2011 with 5.3 hands down - like night and day difference!

Had the Dominator II steps installed the other day as well.

Looks like hours of fun in that picture between the 6.2L truck and that boat.

gorgeous wakesetter and truck! My family has had a few Malibus, but now my truck pulls our MasterCraft X25. Glad to see there are other watersports enthusiasts on this site

Congrats! I have had mine for two years now, and still have no interest in another truck... The 6.2 is awesome. In that two years I have never once (even at the pump) thought I wished I had saved the money on the 5.3.

I have the 6.2 with a BB tune, Enjoy it! :driving:

Nice truck. My buddies dad has the dominators with the third step hoop in front of the rear tire on his 2011 2500 Crew Cab. They look really nice.

bogeypro,

I concur with the others: Very nice truck and setup! I got to ask you: How are you leveling the truck with a 5500lb boat on the hitch? I cannot see enough detail to see if you are using load-leveling bars similar to what I used on my camping trailer. It does not look like it but the trailer seems to put very little weight on the back of the truck. My trailer was just over 4000lbs, with a tongue weight of about 450 - 475lbs. After raising the rear of my truck with 3" axle blocks and the front about 5" with a spindle lift kit, I only needed a minimum setting on the load bars (but w/o a trailer the rear again looks a bit too high). My truck is a 1500HD which uses the springs, axle, differential etc. from a non-HD 2500 and still it required some tinkering. Do boat trailers have exceptionally low tongue weights or are you using something to raise / level the rear under load. It looks like the truck and trailer/boat were built for each other. Appreciate any info, thanks.
