Hello, I was just wondering if anyone could help me? My leather seats are starting to show signs of wear from getting in and out of my truck. I'm hoping to stop this before it get worse.

Thanks

Put leather conditioner on them about once a month to keep them moisturized. Or, even more effective, don't slide in and out if possible. Once you make it a habit you don't even realize you're doing it, as long as your truck isn't too high.

Agreed don't slide in and out I have done this in the past with leather seats. I just put new leather in my truck and find myself use the assist steps much more instead of sliding in and out. Conditioning should be done on a regular basis as the leather becomes more fragile with age, temp cycle and wear ect.

The leather seats on my 02 Yukon also wore from sliding in and out. I always use the assist steps on my 2011 Tahoe but it is taller than the 02 and I have short legs (29 Inseam) for my 6 foot height.

I don't think the leather conditioner will do much good. The leather in these trucks is a top coated leather with a vinyl or urathane coating. The leather conditioner just doesn't soak into the leather under the coating. It may "stick" on top for a short period of time. It may be better to use an interior dressing as a sacrifical layer that is also recommended for "leather" such as this one http://www.autogeek.net/ultima-interior-guard-12.html or others. Expensive but has great reviews on the AutoGeek product review forum here. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/product-reviews/26993-review-ultima-interior-guard-plus-uigp.html
