New look for Tangerine Dream

Recommended Posts

Havent posted in awhile with a lot of life issues so hopefully now at some point life gets better. Anyhew, wanted to show some updates to Tangerine Dream. I dont remember the last updates, but I did a 3/4" drop, added the side ground effects and rear roll pan. I took the summer chrome wheels and had them sandblasted and then painted. I went with a satin black in the middle with a gloss orange on the lip. Included some older pics of the inside too. Also got around to doing the antenna mod, nice and clean now. Also had the door windows tinted. Only thing I plan on doing yet is changing out to a hard top on the bed. A few more stereo components, new custom door skins at some point, new Gm crate motor/supercharger and everything to the rear end will be next after that. The pics washed out the color on the truck a bit, still learning the camera lol. Guess I'll have to update my banner too. :)

Not a fan of lowered trucks but I would take that thing as it sits in a heartbeat!

Like I said before, LOVE that color!

The mirrors under the hood are a nice touch too. Also love what you did with the interior, just enough color in there and not over done. Looks like you have a lot of time and $ dumped into that thing. It would make me nervous driving that on a daily basis the way it looks. I would have to leave it in the garage and get a new truck for daily use.

AWESOME job!

Thank you one all, this truck has been a labor of love to say in the least. I've made my own and unique look to it. So far, I've dropped now into the mid sixteens as far as money not including my labor on it lol. It's never been garaged and as said a daily driver. If I had the room I would get a second car and use this on the weekend only or at least in winter which is what Im most worried on. Since I'm so anal retentative as far taking care of it inside and out, top to bottom it's pretty much still a show room look to it. It feels great when I win at a car show when its judged on how clean it is, being out either some classic truck or some dude that just bought a car if its a non truck class. :)

Automotive paint. :) But I've used in the past krylon spray too, hold up fine. I used for the fuse cover and radiator cover testors model paints since they make 3 different shades of orange which I used and it hold up fine after gloss clear coating.

That is one seriously awesome looking machine! One day I plan to restore my old '76 Chevy and plan to also make it an identical color. Still won't look as good as yours though.

You don't by chance have a close up pic of the engine bay do you? I've always loved a good looking engine in a truck.

Thankyou, no on a close-up LOL. Still prepping for car shows but I'll take one when done.
