Pulled off the old, faded, scratched, and bubbled up door molding off.

Oil was changed this afternoon with Castrol GTX 10W-30 and AC Delco PF46E filter. The one I removed today was the PF61E and it was almost twice as long, so it was odd to see that this new one was also designated for the 2000MY LM7 engine.

After that I hand washed her and just went to town on all of the nooks and crannies, it suffices to say that my family thinks I'm crazy. But it just felt so right to do everything by hand at my own pace.

Ugh I know, but hopefully the little 46e serves me well.

Also forgot to mention that I used a new magnetic drain bolt since my old one was leaking. I checked this morning and there's no leakage from the filter or bolt at all for now. (Knocking on wood)

I never noticed leaking till like 3000 miles and when I took it off the rubber ring was stuck to the truck instead of filter.. it was acdelco

The rubber gasket also fell off the filter when i removed it back in January. No filter leaks that I know of though because they've all been relatively clean. All my leaks are from the damn valve covers and oil pan lol.

Thanks! We're up here on our annual family reunion. We also have a cabin that you need 4wd to get to in Maggie Valley.

I got under my pickup, pulled off the old evap canister, decided it was too freaking hot and went inside.

Would anyone like a write-up on replacing the solenoid? Commonly causes 446 and 449 I believe.

That happens all the time. Mostly when the filter is overtightened the gasket will come off and stick to the truck. Wal-Mart oil change people are infamous for having that happen then installing the new filter on top of the gasket that is stuck to the truck. Caused oil to leak and poof, blown engine in my aunts 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee! Wal-Mart did cover the cost of the entire job and they fired their "tech" whom had signed the work order.

Funny thing is the person who signed the work order is NOT the one that doesn't know how to do an oil change, he was working the counter that day. Poor guy lost his job all because he signed a piece of paper saying the work was completed. The idiot who can't install a filter and caused the issue still works there.

I'm looking at new trucks and that's what I hate about the crew cabs is the short bed. But I do tend to tote people around often so the added benefit of interior space I believe surpass the bed space

Sent while in 'Murica...

Hello? Crew cab with long bed! Best of both worlds. Haha
