Drove my boy to his Cub Scout meeting yesterday. It was either raining or training to rain ALL weekend so didn't do a thing other then drive the truck here and there.

Did some heavy towing. I had to use all the torques and ford a lake. Sure worked it hard

Are your springs rated enough for that?

Same springs that came in your truck. Didnt even squat with that load. Had to pull up the wet/slick incline in 2nd.

Not too bad. Since my road has been so bumpy lately I've kept my rear end weighed down with a Radio Flyer and a bag of trash for the extra traction. Man what a difference it makes....

That thing has been abused...

It needs some work but I believe I can make a good truck out of it

My IAC valve came in today and I just replaced it. It's a quick 5 minute job including finding the correct star shaped allen key, and making sure you don't drop the bottom screw into an abyss. If you have a magnetic tipped screw driver use it for this job...

Awkward space for the bottom screw.

Tada! The morning start up will be the moment of truth and I'm expecting a much better idle. I've been told this is the solution.

My intermediate steering shaft got clunky all of a sudden today. I guess I'll replace the bearing and shaft.

Just did that this weekend in my Tahoe, the job is harder than it seems. Really tight fitting stuff and really tight working quarters.

I don't really feel like dropping $200 on the Borgeson shaft right now so it may be a while (summer). I'll have to take a closer look at how to get to the upper portion. I may do a new brake pedal "shim" too while I'm at it.
