I have 2, 2 year old Duracells in the 2010.

More cranking amps than stock. Bought at Sams.

I believe Deere batteries are from Duracell? They seem to be pretty reliable.

Having over 600CCA will be a nice change in the winter (new bat is 775).

I took her for a wash after doing the wheels/tires myself and also cleaned up the interior. I desperately need a better plastic/rubber treatment, I can't stand cheapo armorall anymore.

And I finally took apart the engine bay light, sanded down the copper surfaces, and just tested that it works! I had cleaned up the glass and installed a new bulb last winter so it looks great. The engine bay doesn't look half bad either.

Up next are the front door hing pins with the drivers side having priority, then also working on sticking door locks.

I've been impressed with the Meguars interior detailer. Although for comparison with Armorall you could start with horse piss and work your way up.

Anyone have a CNG truck. One on the local dealers lot.

I'd be livid if I only got 4 years out of a battery! Typically we get 8-10 out of them up here, sometimes longer with a good charger. That $300 AGM I just bought last winter had damn better last longer than 4 years! Odyssey PC1220 - so far the smaller one in my Sportsman 800 has been holding up good. Will be on year 3 this January.

The job I used to work at 6 years ago had bought a bunch of CNG trucks to add to the fleet. They were pathetically slow, and fraught with quirks. I don't understand why anyone would want a CNG powered vehicle, unless they owned and operated a CNG refueling plant. Good luck finding a way to fuel up on the road when you run out! :uhoh:

15 years ago when I lived in Phoenix, AZ, the state was pushing CNG conversions. People lost all their trunk space converting vehicles for tax incentives. Mostly ended up being state vehicles that were converted. Not long after the plan began, it was scrapped. Once the tax incentives were pulled, nobody converted.

I see a few landscapers around here running propane powered mowers. Another conversion I don't get. Propane is well in the mid $2/gallon range, and with less bang per gallon, you're going to use more of it. Run out without a tank, and it's back to the shop to grab one, instead of just filling a gas can. Again, I don't get it.

Got my fuel filter replaced. It went pretty slick seeming as it's along the frame rail. Took me longer to crawl under the truck. Even managed to not get soaked with fuel run off. Also got a chance to run the 4wd for a bit. We got a lot of rain and my road being dirt made driving pretty greasy. No issues, truck pulled right through no issues.

lol I agree! And i was referring to exterior parts, I don't like putting anything on the interior.

Adams super vrt sounds pretty good but shipping is too expensive and local pickup is a significant drive just for that. #firstworldproblems

I average 3 years a battery.

Wow that's crazy - I thought Phoenix was the only place that happened with their daily triple-digit temps in the summer. Place used to eat batteries and electrical systems for lunch. I remember the guys at school totally freaking out over the fact that I still had the OEM battery in my 6 year old CBR600F2 back then.

It actually made it the 2 years I lived in Phoenix, and the few months in Livermore, and then back to MA - 7 years by that point. Not long after I got back, the regulator failed, sending 19V to the battery. Everyone kept wondering what the rotten egg smell was every time we stopped ... and I hadn't eaten yet, so it wasn't me ... Touched my battery, and it was about 150°, at least! Croaked not long after. I was able to limp down the road at 8 MPH, wide open in second, after pop-starting the bike. Luckily we found a store open on that Sunday that had the exact battery I needed, complete with the acid pack! Couldn't believe it. I threw the acid in, let it sit a half hour, installed it, and rode 100 miles back home. :)

Aha! That explains it. Never knew Bakersfield got that hot! I've forgotten how far south that place is - I've only been close to the place driving on Hwy.5. For some reason I was picturing it closer to Sacramento. Been a long time since I've been down that way.

Man, I'd trade our salty roads, sub-freezing winter temps, & rust for 100° plus temps ANY day ... :D
