My ceiling fan here electrocuted me on the neutral side, breaker off, when I installed a new fan. Don't even know how the thing ran like that - was hooked up that way when we moved in, and was like that for 10 years. Never had a problem, until the Home Depot unit fried it's electronics (integrated in a way that made bypassing them impossible - figures!).

Since there was no neutral, I had to ground the neutral lead. Might not be to code, but it works, lol.

Ha! Figured out my fixture that wouldn't work and my dead neutrals in my ceiling. Hooks the hots and has them all tied together and live but leaves the neutrals disconnected in another random switch box... good work... lol.

Brightened the old bench up... might do my whole shop in T5s... makes my led lights look dim lol.

My buddy finally came over a month or so ago and replaced the ballasts in 2 of the lights in my garage. The ballasts had been bad for years, dad and I would flip the switches on and off for minutes sometimes. Still amazes me now flipping the switches and the lights come on instantly. I was going to put LEDs in and buddy said it was a waste of money and I'd get more light with new ballasts and the right bulbs. That part of your garage looks clean, I'm jealous.

That's what I did in my barn. Just restored the old 8 footer T12 fluorescents. Managed to find brand new magnetic ballasts too - threw one in back in '12 - waiting for the other light to croak before I install the other ... although the buzzing/flickering is getting annoying.

Should be set for another 30 years now.

It's just a slow project. It's s 60' x 30' split into 2 30 x 30 bays basically. This side is work and engine building and the other is just parking. I had no lights beyond 4 100 watt incandescent lights originally lol. I added 2 more bases and put 6 100 watt led equivalents in daylight in. They work awesome really.. but the T5's are almost too much really. I might do the whole thing in them but it will be pretty blinding lol.

Came across a stranded motorist on the way home from work towed them out of the turning lane and into a cvs parking lot. Had to use the chain instead of one of the two tow straps I have, they wouldn't fit apparently. Doesn't bother me any, just jerks them more.

I guess I need to get a snorkel. I'm going to hide my pickup in a parking garage and hunker down.

Is that based on dyno results or any measurements?

Towed a couple of electric vehicles down the road to be scraped. Now my truck suddenly is making a intermittent scraping noise...hopefully something just came loose that I can tighten.

Nope... you want to pay for the dyno time and my company hourly rate go nuts and I will post all the results you want.... lol. Its free and it opens up the box. All the cold air intakes you buy do this but of course just to under the hood air. The gmt900 box was this airbox minus the piece with the foam that blocks off the lower opening. They made these trucks more restrictive. .. with more airflow demand... good job GM. Now I have a good filtering free flowing intake and the total cost was a MIT tube from Airaid.

Besides when I did dyno a few weeks ago something was clipping me from building or maintaining power above 5000 rpm. This can't hurt the cause.

Ordered Kooks Long Tube headers and a Catted Y-Pipe today. They should be going into the truck in roughly 2-3 weeks and then tuning on 5/21. Can't wait.
