Be glad you have a concrete floor! I have to do those types of jobs outside - rain, snow, -14°, or 100° with a 90° dew point. Dirt floor in the barn makes using anything with small wheels impossible.

Getting too old for that crap. Been planning on pouring a pad and throwing up a quonset-hut tent, then installing a lift inside. Maybe sometime before I die of old age ... :happysad:

Took my 1990 K5 Jimmy in for its out of province inspection today. I was worried but I knew the truck was good... You just never know. They phoned to let me know it needed one high beam headlight... Odd as they all worked but I gave the go ahead. Get there... The light worked just the plug worked it's way loose lol. The guy mentioned I had no daytime running lights.. But after fixing the high beam he hadn't looked... You drl's back on lol. I washed the old girl and pulled the topper up to remove some silly roof rack brackets sandwiched in between the bedsides and top... Box side tops are mint.. No surprise as the rest of the truck is too beyond its dying 350. Pretty sure this trucks miles are so low and it's so clean because it failed air care (emissions) back in 2004 and ended up parked. No matter.. The toilet bowl 350 is going in the metal bin it belongs in lol.

The last week was eventful truckwise.

Washed im on Friday, detailed teh interior, looked great.

Drove to Gillette on Tuesday night, helped dad change the brakes on his DTS. Getting to be a pro with Cadillac brake jobs.

Then, as I was running errands with dad, it started hailing.

Made it to a oil change garage fairly soon, can only find one ding in the hood, and one on the front of the bedrail.

Drove to Douglas today, and parked im under the awning of a gas station so that damn hail couldn't do anything else.

Hoping to get the PDR done monday, it will be nice to know those are gone.

I miss the days when hail would shatter on contact with body panels ...

So apparently the fuel filter was empty and the engine was "starved" thus the reason why it just quit running. Unless I heard the guy wrong. I'll double check when I go in a few minutes to get some stuff out of my truck that I forgot to grab. Tech got it running and had it running for an hour and a half this morning. Now they need to figure out why it wasn't getting fuel. So the waiting game continues. I didn't think they'd even look at it until Monday so that's a plus.

Shouldn't have done that! Haha!

I know :( Went back looking for it and cant find it. Luckily I have it saved on my tablet. Might drop them an email to see their best price. $57K is a bit steep

Well just go order one. Although you could also get a loaded 2017 SS Convertible for that price.

Just sayin'

Or you could take out a second mortgage and get both!

Like what? SCCA Autocross doesn't really have any, just need the top down. And I found myself reading LS3 build articles. Shouldn't have done that. I'm really liking the hyper blue with white stripes. One nearby at a dealer. They wear it as well as the first gen Vipers do IMO. Edited by SnakeEyes

They have had a bunch of track days at Putnam race park it's a road course. They require a roll cage for convertibles :(
