Been driving her to work more than usual, and I still have the oil change pending. Definitely needs to be done before we get into the 50's overnight, for piece of mind.

Hauled butt home to get here before the hurricane. Completed my almost 3,000 mile road trip. Hasn't even rained enough to clean the Virginia mud off my tires. I guess the dealer fixed my truck. No problems even though I did a lot of highway driving at 80+ and too many 60-90 mph full throttle sprints because morons cant stay out of the left lane on the highway.

You must've been on 95. I HATE that friggin highway with every fiber of my being.

Last 2 times I went to FL from MA, I took 84 to Scranton, PA to 81 to 78 to 64, etc ... added 100 or so miles to the trip, but I didn't get stuck in traffic once, nor did I deal with people going below the speed limit in the left lane.

If I had gone straight home from VA I would have probably ended up on 95. My back apparently doesn't like road trips after 6 hours so I went the same way back as I did going, detoured to Alpharetta GA(north of atlanta) to stay with my buddy again. From there took whatever roads to 75 to the turnpike to the 408. I didn't hit 95 on my entire journey though. It didn't matter what road I was on people seem to think it's fine to cruise in the left lane of the highway. Flashing my umpteen headlights at them and blasting my air horns did little to persuade them otherwise. One moron damn near caused an accident trying to get out of my way by trying to go through a black econoline. How the hell she didn't see that van is beyond me, if I can find the video of it on my dash cam I'll post it up, I don't think I've done 3 hours of driving since then.

I had a Lew tune, he has great customer service. But, I did a bunch of mods at once so I'm not sure how big of a difference it made by itself.

Mines factory other than tinted windows and the tune. I have never been into heavily modding my vehicles, maybe one or two things at most. I once seriously thought about going crazy and having a good time but the wife likes it the way it is. The old saying... happy wife, happy life. LOL The only plan I have for my Silverado is buying a new CAI tube and a drop in filter, that's about it.

I've always wanted to do crazy mods. Never could afford it. Definitely can't afford it now - all the stuff has increased 400-fold!

Had one fast car in my life - a built '78 Cutlass. I bought it already done. It had the wrong stall converter in it, so I'd get dusted at green lights by Ford Escorts until the thing hit 3k or so - then, hang on! Cam was WAY too big for a stock stall speed.

Got my license plate in today. Decided to play a game, since I didn't have a T-30 in the truck, where I drove through 2 towns to the mall and then back home without a license plate.

Nice game, lol! I bet I wouldn't make it 5 minutes in MA without a plate. They're out there looking for things like that constantly - expired stickers, lights out, no seatbelt, etc ...

I've been stopped several times over the years because the officer or trooper though my plate was on "crooked" ...

Welcome to MA!

It was about an hour of seat time with no plate. Sat in the mall parking lot with no plate for about 90 minutes

Wow, Impressive!

I need to get a GoPro, remove both my plates, and go drive around for a bit. I know I could in my town, but the second I get on a main road, game over.

That would be an entertaining Youtube video, I think. :D
