Took my truck to our land to check the camera. Got a nice 8 point buck and plenty of does on the place!

Happened over the weekend. Sold my 07 Silverado. Still have an 03 tahoe that purchased about a month ago, need to get a build thread going on it. One day I'll have a truck with a bed again, lol.

Took a week off to get house ready for family visit. Been hauling stuff, garbage, kids, presents, etc, etc, etc, trying to get ready. It started raining yesterday and down poured today so our freshly fixed up dirt road is a mud fest again. Oh well, work today, tomorrow then I get the next week off with family.

I have been contemplating selling my truck. It sits in the driveway mostly, unless I "need" it. Working a desk job instead of wearing a tool belt now. Am I crazy for wanting to sell it? It's paid off, and runs every time I need it to. Hauls everything I ask it to. But it is worth more money today than it will be worth tomorrow.

 

I know I will eventually get a crew cab truck, that's the only thing I wish I had. But maybe I can get by without a truck for now. I don't have a car trailer, boat, camper or any other trailer for that matter. Perhaps I don't need the truck, and can use the money on helping buy the next house.

Thats why I sold my truck, is I needed a crew cab instead of an extended cab. Just a pain to have to open and close the door so the wife could get out with the baby in the back. We need two vehicles in the near future so rather than spend money we didnt have we decided to sell the truck. We bought an 03 tahoe and will buy another vehicle at a later date. Sad to see the truck go but one day I'll have another one, and the tahoe is still pretty trucky, lol.

Towed the trailer to Dicks Sporting Goods to pickup my dads Christmas present with my 02 since my sister has my mom's SUV and my mom is driving my 14. I think he'll like it [emoji106]

Growing up in farm country in Pennsylvania, that was a daily occurrence. Glad you missed it all the same.
