I remember when my OEM wheels looked like that. Was a long, long time ago ...

Had a hell of an adventure on the motorcycle today. Tried to get to Laconia with 2 of my buddies. First, my buddy's ignition took a dump, which resulted in backfires that put gunfire to shame, and some nice 3' foot flames shooting out his pipes, HAHAAHAHA! We waited a couple hours for the wife to come get him, helped him load up, and me and my other buddy headed south, giving up on Laconia.

Then, I lost EVERYTHING off the back of my bike in the MIDDLE of f'in 495 - tools, jacket, sweatshirt, a BRAND NEW $50 Kryponite lock, my Under Armor, and a backpack that I should have just worn .... ended up getting my tools right where we stopped ... and the Under Armor was tangled in my ratchet strap hanging off my right turn signal, which was millimeters from going into my spokes (that would've ended pretty badly) ... and found the backpack (couldn't believe that one!) ... after looping around on 5 f'ing different highways it seemed ....

10 minutes later I got a roofing nail in my rear tire at 80 MPH in the left lane - what ride that was! Like riding on eels! icon_lol.gif Then I had to cut across 3 lanes of people who have no clue that any equipment in 2015 could possibly have a failure, and made it to a rest area that just happened to be right where we stopped! As soon as my buddy was pulling in his yard with the Harley in back, he got my call, dumped his bike off, and flew back up to get me. Took a ride home in his pickup truck - what a sad sight. 8 hours after the journey began, I was finally home. First complete tire failure in 24+ years of street riding.

Stock steering stabilizer changed to Rancho after 678,136 miles. What a difference. Oil changed, greased, and tires rotated.

anyone think they will release a nav update past 8.0c (v.2013) for the 07-11's? I'm hoping that its just taking a while since HERE maps bought out navteq and they might be using the here stuff now.

When I was looking at that e39 M5, I found some guy's website, that takes modern maps and modifys them into anew map and POI set with altered original firmware that works with the old BMW nav systems, so you have a current/modern POI and map info database on the original head unit from the early 00's. Thought that was pretty sweet, wonder why no one has done that with GM trucks, there is what, 20x more of them on the road?

Took it to pick up the rental. Was supposed to get a Legacy or Fusion, but all they had was a few Taurus, a Patriot, and a XC60. so they put us in a Patriot. He said "it's a little bigger". But, it's a total Piece. Feels like driving a cardboard box

.... Feels like driving a cardboard box

BWAHAHAHA! That's a f'in great analogy!!

Just picked mine up from the body shop. I'm diggin the new steprails - didn't think I'd like the oval, but they're growing on me. I like the fact that Westin added an additional support over the old ones. Although both are thinner than the single old one, I think just having a second support is going to make these alot stronger. Let's hope so, because the closeness of them to the body makes me nervous. Any body damage in that area of this truck with the lack of a "B" pillar could be disastrous. But, I'm happy for the moment.

Hate this site's picture uploader. Can never attach more than one pic. Here's a better angle of the rails ...

And another ...

Washed it this weekend. Since we have a drought here in California, I drove the truck up the curb and onto the front lawn so the used water will go onto the grass instead of down the drain.

That jeep is rated 23/30, we have driven it 125 miles 65-70% highway, and it's at a half tank. That under 19 mpg! FCA needs to kill it with fire. It's loud, sounds and feels very strained under even light acceleration, can't get out of its own way, and wind blows it around like an empty soda can, seats feel like mouse fur, dash plastics feel like a callous remover. $17k sticker, can't imagine why someone wouldn't buy......almost anything else for the price.

Paint quality is impressive though, metallic flake is very even, and little orange peel, better than anything I've seen from GM in a while.

Fleets keep the Compass and Patriot plant running. It needs to go but it's a big deal to idle a pant.

Brought my truck in for a service on Saturday.

So while I was waiting I strolled around in the show room. Just looking.

And sure enough my old buddy salesman showed up.

We were standing next to a '15 Sierra SLE CC 6.5' 5.3L with heavy duty tow package and lots of bells and whistles.

20% of the sticker. 52-something down to 42-something. Zero interest for financing.

And this guy is a smooth talker...but two things kept me from getting reeled in. I was not there for shopping and the truck was white.

But the guy put a bug in my ear big time.

That mazda salesman probably liked me or hated me, I came in and knew exactly what I wanted to drive. I mentioned a GT with tech, so he brought a standard GT for us to test drive. Then I said I would want the Tech for sure, so he brought one around to look at, during negotiating, I found a pricing error so they had to do all the paperwork again, I said I'd take the GT tech with i-activesense, since I found it had an error also but it would make it the price we thought the second one was, I would be getting the better one for the same price I had negotiated the second one for.

And so they had to do paperwork a third time.

Spent the day in the Gulf coast today. Of course, she took me there. Here's a pic from right before the thunderstorm messed her up.
