Sealing Headlights with silicone

Hey,

I'm having some trouble with google. It seems the more I get into truck mod'ing, the more google lets me down. lol

I have a set of black DEPO headlamps for my 2010 1500 Silverado LS that is black. I want to seal them after my aftermarket tail lights get foggy when it rains. I went to my local Canadian Tire (I'm in small town canada/Quebec) and they handed me Permatex ® Black Gasket Maker. Which when I read the specs is the same as their black silicone sealent. Which I find on the Permatex website. Just I got a bigger tube for less money. :)

So the question in all this, will this work for my application of sealing the headlamps? Or should I try to get to NAPA when they are open and get black silicone sealant?

Thanks again guys.

Cheers,

Drew

That sealant should be fine, hell you could get clear if you wanted also but the black will work.
