Welding Table

I wanted a roll around welding table for the shop that would house both my MIG and stick welder to make things handy. I ended up throwing some metal I had laying around together and ended up with this, it's pretty handy. I've since replaced the Lincoln Mig with a Hobart 190, my Lincoln was getting some age on it and took a dump on me.

That's pretty cool table there. I took a welding class 22 years ago, and all I was able to accomplish was getting my welding stick stuck to the metal. I could never get the hang of it.

What casters did you use?

I've got a vise mounted to the work bench but having another one on the welding table would be pretty handy. I got the casters from Tractor Supply, their pretty stout little wheels, I got two with the wheel locks on them.

Very Sharp. We built some like that, but scaled up a bit, in our shop last year. I wish we could get by with something like yours because it would be much easier to move, but we ended up with tables that weighted right about 1000 lbs each just so I was sure the kids didnt tear em up.

We start each school year with around 11k, but we spent about $1800 on materials for the tables. It helps to get a school discount and not pay sales taxes.

That's a pretty good budget. It's nice you don't have to deal with sales tax on that.
