Leveled the Z71 and added some new rubber

Was going to do wheels at the same time, but just couldn't swing the money with the big move/new house and all that expense right now. So I'll just have to live with the stockers for awhile despite really disliking this wheel design.

Went with a TGC 2.5" leveling kit, 285/65/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers... really happy with how it rides/feels/looks. After going from lowering everything to this I feel like I'm a mile off the ground now LOL.

Looks fantastic! Any rubbing or trimming needed? Any noticeable loss of power?

Nope... no cutting at all, no rubbing at all. Really a nice combo. The TopGunCustomz kit was a piece of cake to install.

 

No real issues with power loss... obviously turning a little extra rubber, but doesn't really feel like its struggling at all.

I have had those nitto's on my truck for 5000 miles now, love them other than the wet traction. Not the greatest, but other than that minor quip they are a decent tire.
