i got a quote form a company for $1920 for a 4" BDS lift kit

and that what i would like but i got a quote from the same guy for a

6" pro comp lift for $1847

i dont know if i want to go to a 6" lift

any thoughts of what i should do

Why do you only want a 4" lift? if you can answer this i'll give my thoughts.

But keep in mind the Bigger lift = bigger tires = bigger money....

I dont know im just putting it out there

my buddy put a 6" on his and he said it threw the gas milage right out the window

so im just trying to get a couple thoughts of which would be better

I'd say its tire size that causes decreased gas mileage more so than actual amount of lift. The 4" or 6" with 33's would be about the same IMO. A heavy and wide 35 is going to bring those mpg's down.

Couldn't agree more.

Did your buddy with the 6" get the speedo corrected after changing tire size? Gear ratio will also play a large part of mileage change.

I drive 2 miles to work and with the 6.2 and 3:42's I get 13 with the 33" tire, naturally it goes up quite a bit on the highway.

besides save some $$$ with a 4" lift and do a 2.5" leveling kit, and 1.5" BL. you will save well over $1400 and that right there is some nice wheels and tires, if you dont already have them.

Good idea, and much cheaper alternative.

The 5" RC kit is fine, but I would opt for bilsteins in place of the RC shocks.
