My new Silverado

Hey gang, I just bought a 2012 Silverado Crew Cab Z71. So excited! With the Truck Month incentives I just couldn't pass it up. Got a great deal.

It's an all star edition with the Z71 appearance package, the convenience package, integrated trailer brake, bed rail caps, and soft folding tonneau.

Love the sporty look of this truck. I noticed some of you have blacked out bowtie's. Are you guys just spraying them with plasti-dip?

Nice truck. Silver has always been a favorite of mine in the 900 bodystyle. Enjoy!

Nice truck and color :)

Bowties: plasti-dip or vinyl

Sharp looking rig! Congratulations! I recently cashed in on the incentives as well. And yes, I used plasti-dip on my bowties...worked great.

Nice truck and great color choice! Enjoy!

Nice truck. I'm a silver fan too. Our Toyota is, a great color that always shines and almost always looks clean. I'm trying to get away from dark colors.

Nice truck. Sounds like you have a lot of goodies right out of the box. I have black billet bowties, I got them through chevymall.com I also bought a set of caliper covers from them as well. I think that billet or plasti-dip or paint will do just fine for you, as all of them have good reviews. The Rod went with plasti-dip and may have a pic for you, and I believe JRock817 painted his both front and rear, and it also looks good. Congratulations on your new truck.

Thanks guys! I opted for the 5.3 after seeing my buddies 6.2 city mileage LOL

2 days into it and I love this thing. Rides soooo much better than my 06. Don't plan on doing many mods. Probably black out the bowties and build an underseat storage box for the backseat. I may do a leveling kit but I'm not sure those are good for towing. I drag around a 4200lb camper 6 or 7 times a summer.
