Thinking about trading my Dmax

I bought my '05 Dmax crewcab LT 4x4 brand new and it has treated me well for almost 8 years and 36,000 miles. However I no longer have a need for a vehicle like this... I have sold everything that I would have normally towed, and usually the only thing in the bed of the truck are my golfclubs and a toolbox.

 

I found a beautiful 2013 Avalanche LTZ that could easily handle any of the "chores" that I use my HD for. It has the "White Diamond" paint which is just plain STUNNING and the cashmere perforated leather heated and cooled seats. This Avalanche is about 50 miles from here so I will have to see if my dealer can trade for it.

I did the same thing back in 07 as I had a 04 D-max and towed but since I sold my boat I towed and towing for other people stopped I had no reason for the truck. I just cant seem to think is why have a Diesel if you have no use for it.

agree. unless you cant live without the power of the d-max, then it wouldnt be a bad idea for a trade. if its the right price. the avy is an awesome truck, the GMT900 LTZ interior is a lot better then the 800 interior too.

I have to agree with both of these guys. If you can live with the Avy's power I would do it.

I only live about 1.5 miles from work plus I have my BMW that gets a few thousand miles a year on it. I drove an Avalanche and the power was more than adaquate. Like I said, I no longer have anything to tow or haul and the Av can handle a little lumber or some cement blocks when I need them. I still need the utility of a truck, so that is why I would choose the Avalanche over a Tahoe. I just don't need a 3/4 ton Diesel anymore.

I would sell your diesel truck yourself.. It wont take long at all with that ammount of miles and im sure you keep it nice, Check 'kbb' and 'nada' see what its actually worth, Sell it your self and then go to the dealer with cash in hand to make a deal on the avalanche.
