I'm curious about your hosting. I'm assuming that you don't use a shared host, do you use a virtual server or dedicated? What host are you using if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah, the site is too big for a shared host. We also host SilveradoSS/TrailBlazerSS/AutoInsane on the same machine. We ended up moving to a "hybrid" virtual/dedicated host setup at www.liquidweb.com.

We have the dedicated resources of a full machine but can upgrade/downgrade the CPU/RAM on the fly. This way, if there is a heavy traffic day and the site can't keep up, we can easily dedicate extra processing power for the few hours that we may need it without having to move hardware. We also run all traffic through www.cloudflare.com for security and as a CDN.
