Could you tell a difference after adding the body lift as far as noticeable height or was it not really noticeable. Im deciding to do the same or not. Thanks

Main reason for the body lift was a slight rub on the rear of the fender wells in front whenever I'd back out of a parking spot or driveway. It was just enough to drive me nutz. No more rub now. Although I do still on occasion trip on my powersteps when climbing in. Other than those 2 things you won't really notice a 1.5" BL. And it looks good still. The 3" I saw on a truck at my shop was obvious and didn't look so good to me. Big gaps/spaces everywhere.

Hi all,

Not sure if this post should be here or in another. I a new. I just purchased a 2014 Sierra 1500 SLT. I would like to get an additional 2-3 in clearance without breaking the bank. What is the best way to do this?
is it a suspension lift kit?

a leveling kit?

Just bigger tires?

Like I say, totally new and not sure what I need.

It has 18" rims on it right now with stock tires.

Any and all tips/help would be greatly appreciated.

2-3" of clearance you're looking for a leveling kit, not full on suspension kit (those will be 4-7"+).

$150 for 2.5 Rough Country spacer kit. Raises the front 2.5" and the rear 1". You can easily fit a 275/70/18 on your stock wheels with this kit as well.

You will need to check and see if you have aluminum or steel upper control arms. Take a magnet to it and if it sticks, it's steel. Others have posted pictures of that theirs looks like.

New coilovers/rear shocks/UCAs - you're looking at $ 2500+

Hey I have the zone 4.5" lift with the spacer bracket on the front suspension. Has anyone with a similar setup just bought oem replacement coilovers? Or have you done a full coilover that replaces the oem spring and the lift spacer all together? I want to get king coilovers but can only find oem or 2-3" lift coils. I know fox has a complete replacement coilover.

if you get king OEM you need to keep the spacer. Or you could get the full replacement fox as mentioned

Yeah I just cant decide which to do. price difference is about 500 with the fox being more. Price doesn't matter but I was just wondering if there is any plus or cons with running the full fox or the king and keeping the spacer

i don't think either have cons other than $$. Just a matter of how much better the pros lol

yeah thats true. I guess at this point I am just debating whether there use the oem type coils with the top front spacer or just replace the full shock and spacer. I am assuming a full replacement of the shock and spacer would be idea. that and with my 35's all i will see is the top spacer lol

decisions decisions lol
