ok, cool, yea i was noticing that..i know wife is ok with getting the 6" lift on the truck so that we dont loose it if it floods in our area again, but knowing that there is another lift higher out there may be worth considering ;)

thanks for the insight on the Z71 and what would be changed out

Odd request. Can anyone with a 6 inch procomp lift with the upper strut spacer and add a leaf get some fender measurements? Thanks in advance

What is the safest wheel size and offset to consider with a 6" lift?

The truck comes with the 20" clad rims.. calling around for having the lift done vs doing it myself, but curious about offset to consider.

Id like to run 35's , but shelling out $5k for a package deal(lift, rims and tires), seems pretty high when i can buy the rims and tires for around $1600

So any safe sizes i can consider to run 35's if i did the lift install myself?

”Safe” is subjective, but any width from 8-10 is “safe,” x12 is where you start to push it as far as stress on front end components. However there’s other factors to include as well such as adding wheel spacers (to the front) or adding leveling spacers as well. All these things combined will begin to make it unsafe.

So when i meant safest, i meant that i could order online or locally or buy off someone that i woudlnt be wasting my time.. I dont want to cause issues to the truck being new.. and not looking for widest tire, but def want to get in the 35's

Stock rims that are on the truck are 20x9 but the offset is not there to keep them after the lift.. So if i chose to stick with a 20" rim looks like i would need to get a rim with a 5.75" offset/backspace?

So safest would mean if i found someone that had some rims 20x9 and 5.5" would that work? Just looking for safe ranges of sizes

you could run x9 with a 0 offset easily on 35s

You need to look at the backspacing of the rim, and what brand of lift you are using. The zone lift says that you need wheels with 5 3/4" backspacing for example. If you don't want to trim anything, I would make sure that you follow along with what the manufacturer states. Not that it may not work, but why not wait until you can do it right. Trucks are too expensive to hurry into modifications on. Find someone to buy your stock rims, people usually pay good for them.

not necessarily, the large positive offset of the stockers could make it so that you can’t reuse them. It depends on the lift and control arms you have

The reason im asking, is because i was quoted $2520 for wheels and tires, plus the cost of the lift as well..

SO i rather find more reasonable wheels and tires before i have the lift done..

Not looking to run stock unless i can, my last truck i had lifted.. it was the smallest lift you could get on a ford just after a leveling kit, so whatever size taht was, i was able to run my stock rims and then get larger tires..

So thats why im asking. I would be ok with the stock rims as long as they worked, but if they dont, thats fine but not looking to spend $2500 on wheels and tires..

If i can find some less expensive or even someone selling a set that has the right offset /backspace then i can get those before having the truck lifted.. and be set..

$2500 for wheels/tires is CHEAP lol. However I understand what you’re saying and stockers look good too.

i was told that my truck will not be going back to stock anytime soon. From what my research told me, this kit was the least cutting between BDS and Zone which are the same company.
