Thanks for the suggestions guys. I have some Caig De-Oxit spray I used to clean the pins. I plan to try some food grade silicone plumbing grease applied to the seal with a Q-tip. I will report back with the results. Based on the feel of the connector not quite fully seating, I suspect lubricating the seal as suggested will fix it.
good to know Dave and thanks for sharing the video for others. I have since swapped over to oem led headlights so not concerned about drl's anymore. However one day when they stop working I'll probably just go back to the original halogen lights.
I am getting the same thing on my 26. My 24 worked flawlessly with the same phone. It says it is connected on the screen, but it acts like the phone is not connected. Randomly it will turn on if I mess with it enough or turn off and restart the truck. There is a post a couple of pages back that people are having the same problem.....with no solution. Doesn't matter if the phone is deleted or re-paired to the radio, people are still having problems. It must be an update on GMC side as my AA is up to date and works fine in my wife's car. Not sure what to do.
This may or may not be helpful but maybe they won't have to tear apart the dash:
