Choosing a tonneau cover

Looking on eBay at tonneau covers and the price can be from $300.00 to $700.00.

What makes on better then the other? I had an Access from a 99 body style on my 2004 and other then Velcro not sticking to the aluminum I still looked and worked good until I sold it this spring.

I do like the roll up over the flip style. Looking at the Truxedo Truxport for 299.00 or an Access TonnoSport for 328.95. Still would like to see a k2xx with a topper though...

I like my Exxtang blackmax cover. I know of one other member on here that bought a used one and it's still in great shape!

I have the Extang Revolution, I know the OP said no roll ups but this one is pretty nice.

As far as I am concered a Retraxx Pro is the only way to go. It looks good and works good and not that you can get them to either cover the bed stake holes or leave them exposed it is even better in my mind. I love mine. :jester:

I want a roll up. I don't like the tri fold type or the roll up like retraxx . Retraxx are nice but take up to much bed space in a already short 5' 8" bed.

I know no tri-fold but the Lund Genesis Elite (some websites have it listed as the black pearl). Looks awesome. Their website has it listed as having a snap and rollup version as well...

I have a Roll N Lock, really easy to use and impervious to anyone trying to break into it

I have a RollBak.. it's great and almost identical to the Roll-n-Lock. RollBak you have to open the tailgate then the bed cover. Roll-n-Lock you must open the cover then the tailgate. You should choose b/w the two based on which method you prefer.

Did some heavy searching and review reading over the last month, and committed to Bak Roll-X.

Looks good, super secure and easy use.

Managed to talk down the price to $799 with an online retailer with no tax or shipping.

Do you have any leaking issues with the RollBak?

I prefer Roll-Up style as well. Check out the Access Vanish, it's fairly cheap but well built. I had one on my last truck and loved it, I'll be putting the same thing on my Silverado.

I just installed a Fold-A-Cover G4 Elite on my Silvy. No complaints so far.

Pics?

On a '14? Was it the new style? I thought I read on the fold a cover web site they were changing the way it attached or something for the '14s. Does it mess up the bed rail caps if you ever decide to permentally remove it.

I'll get some pics up here when I can. It installed with no drilling. It clamped to under rail in front and used the anchor holes by the tailgate.
