If those XD Buck wheels had come in 18, I would have put them on my Pepperdust truck.

Finally got some new tires after leveling. LT275/70/17 Mickey Thompson Deegan 38s.

Only pic I have on the phone right now. Top was original, middle is how it sits now, bottom was a little photoshop. Going to get tint next and I might paint the wheels a gunmetal color and wanted to see how it looked. Color match bumper would be nice too but my wife isn't going to sign off on that.

You can do plasti dip on the wheels to see if you like it. If you hate it you can peel it off easy as long as you do 5-6 coats.

You can leave the tires on the rims and leave the rims on the truck, just be sure to cover the brakes and rotors. The dip please off tires like nothing so you don't need to worry about over spray.

I have to redo my rims on my hummer. I tried using peel away but it didn't even last the year...

I got it leveled on Friday. Thanks everyone for all the help while I searched for the setup I wanted. I am very pleased with how it turned out. Here's a before and after.

WoW! Great job bud... What is a huge difference between the before and after... The wheel and tire set up is perfect... Can we get more info and closer pics on them..

This is all I have at the moment.

Like you, I think the 285s look "OK" on these trucks, but not great. The more I look at this setup, the more I like it.

Can I get some more pictures? I'm especially interested in some pictures of someone holding the steering at full lock, and seeing the clearance around the tire (front, rear, UCA and Swaybar).

Figured I'd throw up a few pics of my 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 dbl cab with level lift, 20x9s, and 33x12.5 toyo r/t tires. Reused the ready lift 2.25 from my 2014 silverado on this so I could buy the wheels and tires I wanted now. Plan on bumping up to a 4" lift in the next 6 months or so.

What are you fender height measurements? I am running the same level yet I still have approximately 1.5" difference in height from front to rear

Oh Man Thanks. the look is exactly what I was going for.

The tires are 305/50R20 Toyo Open Country AT II

Wheels are 20x9 Fuel Mavericks with a +20 offset

I will get closer pictures tomorrow.

Here's my '17 with a 2.5" front Motofab and a 3" block in the rear. Got a good little rake to it but damn it looks good!

Got the 2" RC level and new 285/65R20 BFG KO2's this weekend. Rubbed a little of the fender well at first but a zip tie on each side fixed it no problem. Thought about going with the 275's just to be safe but glad I jumped in and got the 285's.

Nice! Post some more pics! I went with 285/55 ko2s after much debate between those sizes.

I love this setup. Looks beefy, and there is zero rubbing or trimming, even in reverse at an angle. Ive been meaning to snap more pics, and I am also curious to see the actual clearance I do have, so Ill get that done tomorrow. Been busy with a new job so Ive been swamped!

I thought about getting the same tires in the same size. How you like em? Or do you have em yet?

I've had them on for about 2 weeks and I have enjoyed them. Seem to do really well with all the rain we've been getting here.

    • We drove about 15 minute east today to visit a friend and saw a steep increase in price in the same county. About 50 cents a gallon steepper.
    • Sure about that? A degree wheel and a dial indicator would lower your degree of assurance in that statement. 😉    It why we have offset keys and dialable timing sprockets. Just say'n.... I've built a few and have never seen one "On the money".
    • I will admit I haven't experimented much with pressure drops beyond the numbers I put in and part of that is that the numbers I used are fairly low and then found out it would trigger regardless at that 35 psi. Having said that I had tried before had changed the placard pressures and being that I have a 1 ton set to 80 on the placard for the rear I believe it triggered close to 60, the front I don't recall now for sure but thought maybe it could get close to 45 from that factory 60 placard pressure. So I never did figure out if it was a number of psi from placard pressure to the alarm or a percentage of the total placard number as some figured it was like a 25% drop from placard pressure would trigger it. So as to try and answer your question, I believe I set the placard pressure on the front to 47 or so and while I run the front tires at 40, they have dipped below that some if its colder and I haven't put "winter air" in yet and never once have had the front alarm go off. I would say that the answer your looking for is no, that if you set your placard pressure to 45, you have a certain amount of room to drop below that pressure before the alarm will go off.    The pressures you decide to run in your truck, that ends up being what makes sense to you based on what your carrying in your truck or if towing, then have to bump them back up to something that will carry the load in the rear and the fronts typically left at the same pressure. It all comes down to that chart I put the link to and using an accurate roadside scale to be your guide, both unloaded and then loaded to know your minimum safe pressures.    I just wish GM would allow a person to change the readings for the tire pressures to the English system of pounds as I have to look at that goofy metric reading that will never ever jive in my head and will go over and change it just to figure out what they are if need be and then change it back.
    • That part I understand, that the dealer can do it. But I'm not understanding why updates that were available to the truck since it left the factory, or the dealership originally, would not still be available to it without dealer intervention.   I'm thinking along the lines of recalls. They stay available until they are completed, regardless of whether they are in warranty or not, or in the hands of the original owner or not. Why not updates as well, especially since some of those can be safety related also?
    • That's good to know, but I don't think I'll even be running them under 45 in the rear  unless it's on the sand or something but will only be for a short distance anyways!    I didn't read all the instructions in the booklet yet, but do you know let's say I set the rear psi on the placard to 45, will the warning light come on soon as it drops under 45 or is there a percentage it has to drop from the set value before the warning light is triggered?
