I know I like it! That's a good looking truck for sure.

Thank you guys, I am thoroughly enjoying every minute.

So I went with a 2.5" level lift and for tires I went with Toyo Open Country M/T 275/65r20.

So I'm new on here, but without reading ALL of the 181 pages, I've noticed that most people are using 20 inch rims, and have used tires such as 305/55/20 or 295/55/20. I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado with stock 18" rims. I'd like to just use the stock 18" rims, and then get leveling kit, and new aggressive grip tires. If I go with a 2.5" leveling kit, can I get tires such as 305/65/18 or will I have to go a little less taller with something like a 305/60/18? Does anyone have something similar to this on their truck? If so, can you please offer advice, comments, and/or pictures please. Thank you.

Is there supposed to be a difference in bolt sizes for leveling kits for the aluminum and steel control arms I ordered a moto fab 2 inch leveling kit and I read somewhere the steel control arms require a 80 mm bolt

I wanted to do the exact same thing. I got the Rough Country 2' level and put 305/65/18 BFG All Terrains on my truck. No rubbing at all - it looked great. So a 2.5" level should work great.

Good looking truck. I just picked myself up a 2015 1500 High Country as well. How well do the 33/12.5s fit with the 2.5 level kit? Any rubbing? Any issues using those stock rims? I had 305/55/R20s on my Tahoe that I just traded in and had some trimming to do with the Rancho quicklift installed. I was initially thinking of just going with a 33x11.5-ish tire with the stock wheels. Any issues with pinion angle or steering geometry with the leveling kit?

7473330315x65.jpg How will a leveling kit do with these factory 22" GM wheels with 285/45/R22's? I want a more aggressive off road tire that has more sidewall, but not sure what the best size would be for the 2" level lift. Any advice is appreciated!attachicon.gif7473330315x640.jpg

i had 305 35 24's on a 10" wheel on my 2014 with 2" rear lowering shackles and no problems. what you are wanting to run is both narrower and shorter so you should be fine

Thanks for the info. Do you happen to have any pics of your truck? I'd like to see how those tires look on it.

How did you put on a leveling kit with the sensors for the shocks on the front? Did your lift kit have lowering brackets for sensors? If so what are they and where did you get them. I have a Blue Denali 15 model I want to level. Thanks!

The level kit does have relocator brackets for the semsor mounts. Super easy install. I was impressed, rides the same.

The 305/65/18's that were posted look really great. I'd say that's probably about the max size, without doing any trimming. Some other popular sizes to consider with a level kit are 275/70/18, 305/60/18, 285/65/18, and 33x12.50x18.

I'm thinking about these exact tires for my winter set. Do they rub the sway bar at full lock in either direction?

hello guys. New here. I'm needing help verifying if a 295/70/18 on stock wheels will fit with a 2.5" front leveling kit on a 2015 midnight edition

I'm running those on a 2.5 level and 1.5 body lift with stock z71 wheels and they rub sway bar and liner

    • Mediocre, how much did they lose on the poorly conceived EV strategy?   I wonder how much the stock price is being 'inflated' by all the buy-backs?   Cadillac literally looks like a brand without a rudder, no clear goals or product direction - performance or luxury? I guess performance because we can throw a small block in whatever we can and call it a day. Certainly not luxury when a Denali or High Country is reasonably cross shoppable. The Celestiq - no way - no vehicle can command quarter million prices when something wearing the same badge is on the buy here pay here lot across town.   Notice the 'base' Escalade doesn't even come with the 'leather-appointed' seating surfaces.   Hummer EV - fail Silverado EV - fail Sierra EV - fail Bolt/Volt EV (The most successful EV cancelled, restarted, cancelled, whatever its current status it)   Hybrids - none Sedans - none Medium duty - not anymore Minivan - none Coupe - none Convertible - none CUVs - 20+/-   6.2 Recall that landed squarely on the GMs highest seller - and specifically the fattest margin higher trims of the Yukon, Escalade, et. al. The most critical product line they fumbled big time. In the Escalade segment, are those buyers forgiving GM for a bad engine and patiently waiting for the fixes and dealing with the headaches? Nope, they dump them and go straight to the other premium brands.   In the ENTIRE GM portfolio how many aspirational vehicles are there? Corvette, Escalade (quickly being superseded by the obvious better value Denali)...   I posted somewhere else... what if Cadillac left the luxury game and became a performance brand similar to AMG or (gasp) Ferrari? Cut all the entry-level and base models from their line up and focus on the V-series or Blackwing or whatever they call it now. Of course, those would have the pre-requisite luxury and technology as standard equipment. This opens the floor for Buick to step in/up as the luxury brand (like they are in China), no 'performance pretenses' get rid of the 'entry-level' models with equally 'entry-level' power trains and become the Maybach to Cadillacs AMG. With those two brands effectively out of the way Chevrolet, the 'entry-level' brand has the floor to itself and GMC can take over as 'professional grade'.    Now each brand has a focus, no in-fighting, clear direction, and customer targets.   Just need to sneakily slide Corvette into the Cadillac brand and dump the vestigial script writing.

    • There is a big difference in motorcycles and vehicles - nobody needs a motorcycle, they WANT one. That WANT is the most powerful force to drive price upwards.   I've hated every iteration of the Equinox, a prime example of GM laziness. It excelled at absolutely nothing, barely competitive by every metric. At least the latest generation looks decent.    I want to like the Buick Envista, but that pitiful engine plus FWD only is a BIG NO for me, I don't care how good it looks.

    • Love my new 2026 truck - even as a basic WT it's comfy, rides nicely, etc.   Encouraged by the 100K powertrain warranty.   2nd GM I've ever owned (1st was a 2000SLE with Vortec V6 - loved that truck.) Small question - maybe I'm missing it in the manual? - but I seem to need to press the unlock button first, in order to open driver's door.  (Don't care as much about passenger door.) RKIs: is there any mod/setting change, etc such that when I merely pull the door handle it just unlocks + opens? I have minor concerns about ability to exit regardless of electrical performance. (I'm a bit limited agility w/osteoporosis from hyperparathyroidism - big guy, age 62, range of movement etc issues.) Thanks, Bill San Jose CA
