440hsp Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 (edited) Leveled today with Fox Coilovers. Also added rear fox shocks, 20x9 Fuel Assault +1 offset, 275/60/20 BFG KO2's, and a custom dyno tune Does it ride better than the stock rancho shocks that come on the z71 package? Jlm02a3094 Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 That looks really good! I bet it rides like a dream now. It sure does. Much more composed than stock. I only put about 50 miles on it since I picked it up today. I plan on taking her out tomorrow and pushing to see how significant the difference is Josh Does it ride better than the stock rancho shocks that come on the z71 package? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk Absolutely better. I have the all terrain edition which includes everything in the Z71 package and I'd say the Fox is a huge step up. I plan on pushing it tomorrow to really see. Josh
Jlm02a3094 Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I tried to get a pic of the front coilover here:
Roader Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Doing my first ever level next week. Is it better to do shock upgrade when put level on or can it be done (relatively) easy at anytime? If the 2.5" level makes the ride real harsh may have to look into adding fox shocks on rear
Robert.jean1 Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I had a 2.5" RCX level installed on my truck after first bought it and I opine, the ride quality to me really didn't change very much. So I would just install the kit first and see what you think before potentionally wasting money on shocks if they aren't needed. Doing my first ever level next week. Jlm02a3094 Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Where did you purchase the coilovers? I got the front Coilovers and the rear shocks from http://offroadwarehouse.com Josh
SheeB Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) After spending days reading this thread, I went with the ReadyLift 2.25" level kit. Everything is now 39" on my new 2015 Midnight Edition. Keeping stock tires and rims (just 500 miles on them). Thanks everyone for all the info! Was this the 66-3085 kit from Readylift you installed? I just also took delivery of a '15 Midnight Edition Crew Cab and want the same look as yours. Edited August 23, 2015 by SheeB

Bodine Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I was thinking about going with the 5100 Bilstein adjustable shocks to level my 2014 silverado z-71, the info I found on them says they provide a 0-2.5 inch adjustment in ride height. Any info would be appreciated.

Any info would be appreciated. They are 0-1.8" sounds like most people get 2" with them but I tried to order some about 2 weeks ago and a few places told me they are back ordered until end of October if you find some let us know good luck!
Bodine Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Thanks for the info, z-71 chevy. I will let ya know if I find some.
Oklahomie Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 2015 Z71 Silverado 5.3 V8 Bilstein 5100 adjustable strut 2" Level Front Bilstein 5100 Rear Shocks Toyo Open Country AT2 275/65/20 MHT Fuel Nutz 20x9 wheels Magnaflow 18" Dual Exhaust Zero Rub Couple of pics including a Before and After I don't mean to ask stupid questions... But is the billstein setup better than doing an RC kit? Ride was and cost wise? This is my first truck and I'm trying to not screw it up lol. Your truck has the setup I'm looking for!! Roader Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 The issue is it cost more and they are on back order. So you have to factor that in to what you think is better. Guys with bilatein will have to comment more though
Truck Norris01 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I just ordered a set from autoanything. The rep I spoke with said that they had very few left, but assured me that they did have some in stock. I guess we'll find out.
