Tow Mirrors

just a update for all dealer installed the mirrors they work great as for signals the dealer just had to order a special wire loom..they installed today and everything is working great! I would assume the loom ordered is just off of the 1500's with turn signal mirrors I could get the part number if people are interested.

as for now I have tow mirrors on my 14 lt Silverado 1500 with working turn signals! I was stoked to see the signals working!

Any chance you can share that part number(s) for the wiring loom?

Did you have signals in the mirrors before, or was the loom what made it possible to "add" the signals when you upgraded to towing mirrors?

Thanks

Brock Samsom,

I agree with you these mirrors suck for backing a boat down a ramp. I do a lot of bass fishing with all different ramps configurations. If the GM engineers are bright enough, new style mirrors should configure with our trucks. I have a good relationship with my dealer and they know my feeling about the existing mirrors on my truck. They stated they will do their best to configure the new style mirrors to my truck once they're available that should be the third quarter. I'll keep you and everyone else informed on the new style mirrors. I am very very interested in having the new style mirrors installed on the truck.

I wonder if the wire loom would have the power fold wire pin as well. That would connect to the armrest switch?

Just got the Longview slip on towing mirrors from eTrailer.com in today.

They're exactly what I needed, other than the unfortunate phoenix molded into the front. They'll only be on while towing so I can live with that though.

I just ordered the same ones....been waiting on Cipa to release theirs but they are still not out. I'm towing my 20' enclosed trailer next weekend and need mirrors.

Yeah considering the mirrors are identical on the Silverado and Sierra and there is only one style I have no idea why it took so long for someone to get to market with custom fit tow mirrors. I could understand if we were talking about the Colorado.

I should have about 10-20 sets of the powerfold tow mirrors coming in once GM releases them. Just waiting on availability at this point. [emoji106]

If you're taking names, these are what I'm interested in. Put me down for a set.
