Question what type of hose are you using for the catch can installation? Is it silicon vacuum hose, fuel line, general use?

Just the general low pressure hose from Napa. Doesn't have to be high pressure fuel line hose.

The RX kit comes with the needed hose. I made sure when I did my install to push the hose over the retention barb on the factory pipe. Takes some effort but once you get the hose over the barb it will not come off and then there is no need for the hose clamps.

I drained my can last night after maybe 400 miles, pulled about 1oz of milky oil out of the can.

I've seen several catch can brands mentioned. When you look up catch cans there is a huge quantity of choices some expensive, some not. Is it worth the extra money

to make sure there are the baffles and filters? Which ones are the best value?

Do instructions come with the Elite can for install on our trucks? I looked online and didn't see them.

They come with basic instructions, not application specific. The Elite site has detailed PDF files for the installation on the last couple gens of Vettes, but not the trucks. I chose the Elite because of it's effectiveness and quality construction. On my Vortec, the supplied mounting bracket worked out very well. I have not seen one mounted on a Ecotec..

Where did you end up mounting the can?

On the Vortecs, there is a nice large area on the alternator/power steering pump mounting bracket with two pre-threaded holes. It is a perfect place to mount the catch can. The Ecotecs do not have this, but they should have an empty threaded boss in the head that could be used..
