Carpet soaked with water underneath HUSKY when I lifted it up to spray the winter salt off the mat. Apparently the snow melts and get into the fastening holes on the floor.

Do WEATHERTECH Have holes? anyone?

I purchased the Husky Weather Beater Floor Liners (two piece - #18241) for a net total of $80.00 sale price. I am very happy with them. Good coverage. Weather Tech for (2 pieces - front) were for sale on other sites other than Weather Tech for $127.95. I don't feel the $47.95 is worth it after I have been using the Husky Liners. The Chevy mats (poor coverage - came with truck) had the same fastening holes on the driver's floor and had a list price of $100 which I replaced. Chevy mats in my opinion were a waste of money. No issues with the Husky Liners.

I've been asking but haven't heard back, I have the Wathertech Digital Fit's coming tomorrow for the front.. Does the drivers side mat clip into the factory two clips that hold the mats down? On the factory ones there are two holes and they snap into the clips on the carpet.

cmpcpro- the weathertechs come with some velcro clips that clip on to the factor nubs that are already attached to the carpet. then the wt mats attach to the velro clip. if that makes sense.

*** for anyone else i have a rear black weather tech mat for 2014 crew cab for sale in the for sale section***

One more vote for husky weather beater floor liners. I have a set in mine and I am very happy with the coverage.

Can anyone comment on floor mats that match the cocoa/dune interior well? Weathertec or Husky, or other, the cocoa floor material seems to be a hard match for the standard black/gray/beige color schemes. Anyone have black mats in their cocoa/dune and have them look ok?

I'm leaning towards going with the gray ones for my cocoa/dune. The tan isn't close enough to match to my eye, the black could work but I'm thinking the gray may be a decent middle ground.

Husky versus WeatherTech reminds me of Apple versus Android... both do things 75% right but are missing features their competitors have. I've owned both the Husky X-act Contour floor liners and the WeatherTech DigitalFit floor liners. These are my findings/opinions:

Material: Husky uses a more pliable material, so they lay/conform better. WeatherTech's in the front tend to curl a bit, especially at the A-pillar.

Coverage: WeatherTech's up front have a taller edge and cover a bit more carpet along the center console and behind pedals. WeatherTech's in the rear cover just about every square inch of carpet, while the Husky's are designed only for the foot traffic area and not under the seat.
Appearance: I personally prefer the looks of WeatherTech's design / groove pattern to that of the Husky's. Not sure if one design is actually better than the other.
Movement: Husky's up front stay where you put them b/c they have the little spikes built in on the underside. The WeatherTech's are smooth on the underside. That isn't an issue for the driver's mat b/c they utilize factory anchor points, but on the passenger side it's a rear pain-in-the-a! My (105 lb) chick puts her feet on passenger mat to push herself up in the seat... she doesn't move but the mat goes forward. Got sick of it so I fashioned my own anchors through the carpet to keep them in place. Neither brands rear mats have any movement issues.
Cleaning: WeatherTech has a slight advantage because their grooves aren't as deep but both are pretty easy.

Conclusion: If I weren't a tad OCD, I'd put Husky's in the front & Weathertech's in the rear (that's what my dad did in his Yukon) but unfortunately (and also sadly) knowing they're different brands would drive me crazy! ha

Well I just got my Weathertech Digital Fit front mats and installed them 15 minutes ago...

First of all, the passenger side mat where it meets the A pilar was bent in shipping and didn't confrom.. Luckily I was able to bend it back the wrong way and made it fit fairly tight.. Second, the mats do look like paint trays.. they are huge, and to me, I don't really care for the look.. They look almost funny to me.. I am hoping they will grow on me. I hope the edges don't start coming away from the edges of the truck like Moto stated above.. Does the heat cause that to happen? I thought it was just in shipping, and hope it will stay where I have it bent to now..

They surely do cover quite a bit, more than I would think any other mat could cover, but to me the plastic, and the size look a little cheap or funny.. Again, it may just be the shock of the big difference, I was really excited about getting these so I do hope they will grow on me.

As for the rear: Most of the time I don't have other people in the vehicle, when I do, it's just usually in the passenger seat, so for now the Premium OEM mat will do as it is one big mat. I have the GM underseat storage, so if I do get a mat it would probably have to be something other than the Weathertech, however I read on here someone where someone was posting all of their accessories that they used a Weathertech rear mat but for a different vehicle, like a Tahoe or something because of the underseat bin, I have however not been able to find that thread again..

I have the weather techs and really like them. The rears are nice for when I have my yellow, shedding dog in my black int truck. Great coverage.

Well I'm already starting to get used to them. I kinda like them but I keep having to roll the Windows down to get the smell from the mats out and restore my new car smell.

I went with the Husky Weatherbeaters. They fit great and don't have such deep grooves in them. I really didn't buy 'em for bad weather but to get better carpet coverage (especially in the back) than the worthless factory ones. I gotta say that I don't regret my choice so far.

Question: if your second row Husky weatherbeater covers under the seat too, does the lip under the seat on the door sill edges turn down to the sill to protect that small amount of carpet or does it turn up with a lip like my weathertech does. Just trying to find one to protect down to the door sill under the seat area. Ya, OCD I guess. Thanks for the trouble of a reply.
